"I was in NA 16 when it first became a long term facility. There about 5-7 of us we all had our room with carpet. It was different from short term they are both in the same compound. I missed the view of the boarder at night and from time to time passing notes with NA 12 I think. The staff at that time was different than short term. They would be quick to restrain you and outings were a no go. The Risk levels I am sure didn’t exist like they did in short term. They would take us to the basketball court one outside and one with in our side of the facility that was loaded with spiders. The dayroom was nasty. The food sucked. The other side didn’t have carpet in the rooms and it was going to be the boys side. When I was there 3 or 4 were girls. It was coed living only one bed per room. I give 2 stars because of a lady Named Daphne Scot who was not like the rest of the staff. She was originally in NA 16 from Hillcrest. That woman single handed changed kids lives. She definitely was way underpaid and I hope she has continued to touch kids lives."

"Today I had a visit to this locations and my family and I were not satisfied. They say that the rooms are sanitized and ready to use when we get there but the place was dirty and unsanitary. My mother spend about 30 mins cleaning the equipment to ensure that my siblings would be safe. The staff at this location were unwelcoming as well and made it hard to enjoy our time there. Carefully consider finding a new place to bring your family so you can have an enjoyable experience."

"One Start only because I can't give any less. They killed a kid during a restraint when I was there in 1998. Her name was Chrystal. I'm 38 and I still get counseling over what happened to us there."

"Hello, I'm here to inform everyone to beware of this facility, I've sent family members here only for them to be treated poorly by the hands of the incompetent staff & administrators here. The behavioral training and mental health services "New alternatives" administer are even more detrimental to clients' mental health as their standards of treatment are belittling & impolite behavior; making the clients feel bitter and miserable. I believe there needs to be a new admin team in place in this company otherwise; there cannot possibly be a good future for it. - Martin J"
