"Dr. Ross has been a very understanding and knowledgeable provider as you can tell from the length of experience as well as his depth of knowledge from a wide spectrum of illnesses. Understanding might sound like a banality among therapist so I want to make it clear what I mean. Often times I have something very abstract or complex to convey. Given my limited vernacular, often times explaining what, in my mind, is easy to understand, comes out as sentences with misplaced words at times. By contrast, conveying your thoughts verbally sometimes has road blocks associated with it. And time and time again, when the words seem to escape me, he had the ability to fill in the blanks spot on. Maybe that issue doesn’t apply to everyone, but having confidence that the interactions are free of misinterpretation or ambiguity I have learned are characteristics vital to how well a patient meshes with the therapist and ultimately bringing a conclusion to the hellish aspect of life that is mental illness. Having been in therapy with copious amounts of therapists, modalities, and mediums used to deliver therapy for the vast majority of my life, maybe too much, I do think I have some authority in talking about the therapist patient relationship. Coupled with his outstanding ability to facilitate proper communication, his psychoanalyst background told me that he would be able to connect the dots. The dots being different diagnosis be it depression, anxiety, ptsd, etc. Being someone with more than one diagnosis, this was crucial in every aspect of processing any particular issue. He always knew what to say and how to say it so it didn’t come across as off-putting. No therapist wants to fall into that mistake but the reality of it is that it just happens. It’s part of the ball game. My time with Dr. Ross was absent of anything that would turn me off to digesting what he would say at any particular time. I honestly can’t say that about any of the other therapist I have had. I choose my words carefully. I can say with confidence that you will not go wrong with Dr. Ross. A testament to that is the fact that I have never wrote a google review for anyone or anything. I’m not getting a discount, he didn’t ask me to do this, I didn’t lose a bet; I’m taking my own time and energy to write this because I feel strongly he can be an altruistic therapist that can bring resolution to most people. I think it goes without saying no one can guarantee this or that in the realm of therapy, but I’ve been around the block... a couple of times. Dr. Ross is the real deal, no bs, no telling you what you want to hear, none of those run of the mill lines I’m sure a lot of you have heard ie. “I’m sorry you feel that way.” If you’re like me and don’t want to beat around the bush and are sick and tired of being sick and tired (sorry but that saying compliments my experience), Dr. Ross is most likely the best and final therapist for you. He has a job to do and he does it well. Simple as that. Thanks Dr. Ross."
