"My horse colicked while we were camping in the area, on a Saturday evening of course. I found Dr. Hower on Google and she called me back immediately after I left a message and traveled slightly out of her service area to our campsite to treat my horse. He unfortunately did not improve so she referred me to a hospital closer to home where I took him for meds and fluids for a couple days and he recovered. I would use Dr. Hower as my vet if I lived in the area, she was very responsive and definitely goes out of her way to help an animal in need!"
"My 16-1/2 yr old dog was suffering and I desperately needed help!!! They came even quicker than they said the would and were SO kind and loving to my little Roxy. SERIOUSLY..I have NO IDEA what I would have done if not for their service! I am disabled and live remotely. Would have been cruel to load up a very sick dog to drag her 25 miles away!! They were so loving and caring to our dog and my husband and I."
"Love Dr. Lindsay. She has been working on our animals for the past few years. Great with the animals and us. We have used her for emergency and routine check ups, very happy with the service and staff."
"Great vet, affordable prices, great with my animals. I am glad she is up here."
"Really disappointed. She was a great vet, until she started dropping the ball. I wrote some online complaints about her being away from the office too much. She has taken 5 trips within the course of a few months. The phone is rarely answered first ring, and it takes a few days for her to get back to you. Fast forward a month or two after my complaints, my phone calls are being ignored. My mother called up to pay off a bill, and I got on the phone and asked her receptionist why my phone calls were not being returned. I was told because I had made a complaint, she was not going to service my animals anymore. That is just ridiculous. So I asked if the vet could give me a call, so we could work this through. Instead of just ringing me up and telling me that she had an issue with my complaints and trying to fix it so I would be a happy customer, she simply ignored and moved on. I received a call a short while later, where she basically told me that "I've got a lot of customers, and I don't need people talking badly about my business". Wow. I've never heard of that kind of customer service before? When a restaurant gets a bad review, do they go to the persons house and forbid them to come back, or do they extend a few coupons and try to make it right? I don't recommend her for several reasons. 1. If you need fast service, don't call her. It will take days to get a call back, and no one ever answers the phone. 2. Don't ever be unhappy with something cause she'll drop you as a client. 3. She doesn't keep records correctly, and it took hours on the phone with her receptionist to finally recover whether or not my dog had bordatella. I asked if she could put stickers in my dogs book so I could keep track, but she refused and said "You don't need that, I keep track". Apparently not. 4. She's very nice when she's here at the house, but if for some reason you have a complaint or irritate her, she's extremely rude and full of herself. True colors were shown. 5. I found out her neutering, consists of no anesthetic, just sedations, and operating on them on the back of her truck. If they stop breathing? Don't worry, she has a pump! *sarcasm* 6. Her specialty is horses, not dogs, yet she still takes on small animal clients. She probably should stop doing that. 7.Her emergency visits aren't even an emergency by the time she gets there, and then she charges $100 just to come out. We had a goat emergency, and she got to our house 9 hours later, and charged $100 just for the emergency part of it. The rest was treatment cost. You can imagine THAT bill. I would never take another animal to her, and would rather trek down the hill 25 miles and pay double, than have her touch my dogs. Dr. Drelich down at Butterfield Vet has much better customer service, and he actually cares about what I think. Disgusted."
