The Dancehouse is a dance studio and small theatre space located at 2180 Chatsworth Boulevard in San Diego, California. Our mission is to provide a safe and affordable space for students of all ages, skill levels, and styles to learn, rehearse, and hold events. Our highly qualified dance educators invest in each dancer's process and honor their journey, empowering minds, strengthening bodies, and embracing positive expression. Founded in 2012, The Dancehouse has grown from a warehouse in downtown San Diego to a larger space in Point Loma, offering a variety of public dance classes and events. Director Jaami Waali-Villalobos has over 27 years of experience in dance and has worked with various dance companies and artists. With a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts and Dance, a Master's degree in Dance, and certification in Pilates Mat Training, Mrs. Waali is dedicated to providing quality dance education to students in San Diego and beyond. "Nice dance floor and space. Needs some much better ventilation though. There weren't that many people dancing and it was way too hot. If there were more, as it could easily fit 3x more, the heat would make it impossible. Please invest in an ac or the space won't be usable for filled dances."
