"I highly recommend TO Westlake Karate Studio. Great Grand Master Dennis and Grand Master Justin Ichikawa are the master minds in teaching the American Tang Soo Do form of karate. There is plenty of structure, participation, and encouragement. In addition, the black belt instructors are dedicated, professional, and knowledgable. My children were invited to a buddy night and we were impressed with the class. We signed them up and noticed a huge improvement in my daughter and son's concentration and attention span in the studio and at home. They love being on the Demo Team and performing at Belt Presentation Potlucks. They hang out with their karate friends at Parents' Night Out and other parties. The studio is very family oriented with students of all ages. They also have a Street Smart Self-Defense class which is a great balance of strength training with Mrs. Clausen, a certified kettle bell instructor, and self defense techniques with GM Justin Ichikawa.
