"Dr. Chad Hybarger consistently gave us toxic advice for my son. Despite not having medical degree, he recommended we put my son on an anti-psychotic for his anxiety-related behaviors -even though that would only prevent the behavior and still leave him suffering from anxiety every day of his life. I've talked to multiple therapist friends about this who has informed me that this is considered a serious violation of his ethical code and even advised me to report him for it. He told us to use exposure therapy methods to keep our son in a school thatbwas traumatizing him - even though exposure therapy only works when done in small increments with a willing patient, and even though deregulated autistic do not adapt to triggering situations. And he recommended we seek out the services of a quack from the UK who doesn't believe ADHD or autism are real, but just symptoms of bad diets. In other words, his ideas were for us to make my son suffer and become even more traumatized by things that were completely triggering for him without actually helping him in the least. He is the least ND-affirming provider I have ever heard of, and while I would recommend anyone avoid his services, I would advise anyone with a child who has autistic, PDA or ADHD tendencies to run away as fast as possible."
