Reviews
"Was perfect for me. Skilled in allowing me to feel seen and understood. Able to quickly and heartfelt lighten the mood if I was slipping into too much tension. Gave me concepts of body awareness that were life changing. Gave me space to explore what I felt safe with and permission to reserve harder topics for a later time. Emdr helped me replace significant negative self beliefs with positive truths. She was kind, calm, and felt like a genuine lifeline during a very difficult time. I really appreciated her help and often direct others to seeking therapy as a beneficial tool because of my experience with her. I have since moved and seen other therapists, but they weren’t as healthy in their approaches as she was. I’d highly recommend."
"Has valuable grounding techniques, skilled at ESMR but lacks genuine empathy. Defended Donald Trump out of the blue while I was talking about working through sexually traumatic memories (*completely* unrelated to the discussion and a last straw for me). Got basic details of my diagnosis wrong in an expensive and poorly written "approval" letter she sent to my gastric sleeve surgeon. She said I had marijuana abuse disorder - I had previously gone to outpatient for a (hallucinogen-based) substance abuse disorder but it definitely wasn't that; I've never had any issues with weed. It made me seriously question whether she was at all present for the work we'd done. Then she revoked the letter weeks later just before my surgery was scheduled, without communicating to me directly, under the suggestion that I needed to be medicated for bipolar disorder. It was exhausting and bizarre. Another psychologist made note of my history and anxiety disorder (PTSD) but gave and did not revoke approval. I've been receiving treatment for PTSD with another doctor and have been doing much, much better. I miss the ESMR (she's really good at it!) but she just isn't emotionally receptive to her patients outside of that meditative state. People have different needs. Just really think about what you need from a doctor and if she sounds like she's capable of giving that to you."
