"They don't take insurance. They sent email for myself to submit my taxes for review; "In order to seek therapy on sliding scale". However, my income prior years was high. 2023 no income. Then I would need to submit housing and other personal expenses with bank accounts to determine my net worth. All for a sliding scale ? Otherwise, how do you determine a sliding scale without current income or this years taxes ? I would submit my personal taxes to someone I don't know which has massive information that is private per IRS/FTB. Do they provide a disclosure on protecting my financial information ? From what I understand to check as well, is therapists are to estimate a full cost of services upfront ? Sent their email to a neighbor shrink. She can't help due to personal relationship. She takes insurance. Loves her field and helping people. A few others take insurance."

"After 2 years of not seeing my daughters due to a relationship ending with their mom, giving me the most insane toxic relationship experience I've ever been part of. The judge ordered conjoint therapy before my girls and I can hang out again in person, and I had no idea where to start. I did a Google search on "conjoint therapy" because I'd never heard of it... on account that my girls and I are best friends and never needed such a thing until mom went sideways with her mental health, through no fault of her own.
