"If I could give them 0 stars I would. Worst mental health department ever. Just horrible."
"I had the misfortune of meeting a SW and Dr for the 1st time in which I was called a liar, told I was being evasive and spoken to in an aggressive and demeaning manner by the SW. Long story short they decided to do a 5150, I have since learned it was predetermined before I even spoke with them. One of the worst parts was them putting that I had tried to cut my wrists, which almost had me in a county facility. There was a cut on the back of my hand originally from a kitchen accident but I had aggravated it in a period of anxiety. I was put in the ER to wait no one spoke or re-evaluated me. I spoke with a SW who promised I would not go without the medications I took for RLS. That never happened I spent a night in pain and paced almost non stop. The next day a new SW told me the Dr would be coming by. Well that never happened based on the lies written by Dr Whale who NEVER even looked at my wrists or hand they were going to transfer me. Luckily I had someone in there that knew I was not suicidal and helped and finally I spoke with the Dr on call. She asked to see my wrists which I didn't understand but said that didn't add up. We spoke for about 30 minutes she said you have no business being there and I went home. I have severe PTSD from this and when I told the person I was seeing there about what they wrote the reply was "Well they are only human." I asked what did that make me and left never to go back or trust that department again. I will work through it without their "help". Besides the PTSD every time I go to the ER they test me to see if I have done drugs, drinking, or ask if I am suicidal. It is humiliating and I will just not go . Not an apology, sorry we put the wrong information in your record ,I have had to fight to get well maybe it was the back of the hand. It was humiliating, terrifying and extremely overwhelming. I have pictures that prove I didn't cut my wrists that we took to document the bruising from the double handcuffs."
"They don't answer their phones. Once I called when I was lost in the parking lot & made it from the parking lot to the correct building in 15 minutes & when I got inside, the phones weren't even on in their office! Also, I scheduled an appointment for an ESA letter for my residence (not travel). I was initially told that approval was case by case and up to the therapist. I figured I was a likely candidate because I have been diagnosed in the past for the conditions that qualify for an ESA letter. The lady I spoke with was adamant that ESA letters were NOT Kaiser policy because people bring peacocks on planes. I told her that I was not interested in a travel letter and recommended that Kaiser work on their screening for ESA letters instead of dismissing them altogether. She checked with her boss & then came back with the same conclusion as before & told me that Kaiser policy encourages drug therapy & that she would happily prescribe me drugs.I didn't leave until I was clear how disgusted I was with Kaiser taking an obnoxious amount of money from patients in the form of healthcare and not allowing patients to be proactive in their healing. Her office was filled with books about holistic healing - she should replace them with pharmaceutical books! Shame on Kaiser!"
"You will have to wait a month for an appointment with a therapist here. They supposedly sent me to an outside therapist but I never got scheduled with their outside help either. I’ll wait for my Kaiser therapist he’s alway a pleasure to speak to. I felt genuinely understood during my time in the partial program too."
"I have had excellant care at this facility. I have never had very long waits. Even when I went to urgent care on a saturday, I wasn't waiting more then about 40 minutes."
