"I love taking classes at Spin Sity. Jan is my favorite hype woman, even though I'm just a beginner, she makes me feel like I was made to dance ! Marina is amazing too, she makes it all look so easy and before you realize it , she has you doing something unthinkable! I haven't taken classes with any of the other ladies but if they're anything like these two, then sign up! I got a 6th month pass that was interrupted by Covid-19 but i'm excited and hopeful to start up again soon!"
"I had a really horrible experience here. After saving for the newbie package (which includes leg warmers, powder to grip the pole with, a set of heels, a bag and 5 classes) I bit the bullet and signed up for what was listed as a newbie class - climbs and holds. I figured this would mean learning how to grip and stabilize on the pole. Why not. I consider myself fit so I wanted to see if I could do this. I arrived 10 minutes early to the class because I wanted to be able to pick up my newbie gear. When I arrived there was one girl there, the trainer, and she greeted me and told me to warm up. I had no idea how to warm up, so I awkwardly started stretching. I asked her about the newbie package and instead she took a picture of me. I still don't know what that will be used for?! I asked specifically about the powder to grip the pole, because I could already tell my skin was about to get messed up trying to climb. She pointed to some buckets on the ground with cleaning fluid in them and dismissed me. I figured, whatever, I'll ask after class. I made a fool of myself but got through it, and felt like I was in way too deep and needed more time. Oh well, I thought, I'll do the one class called "beginner routine" and give that a go. As I was leaving, the instructor was doing the same awkward intake photo process with some other folks and I asked her again if I could get my newbie gear. She responded saying, "oh...you don't need them for this next class." Then, when I told her I was going to leave and not do the next class, she told me that she had to teach the next class and couldn't give me the gear. Mind you there are literally dozens of shoes in boxes and she could have just asked me my size and grabbed one and I would have been happy, but she LITERALLY REFUSED TO GIVE ME WHAT I PAID FOR. Now I'm upset. I signed up for a few more classes and didn't show up because honestly, I feel cheated, I felt awkward, and it was overall unpleasant. I emailed them a week ago asking for a partial refund, or to just send me the shoes I paid for to square us up, and they have not responded to me. This place RIPPED ME OFF. AVOID."
"The classes are fine, but the process to sign up for them is tedious. We showed up at the same time as another group of girls and none of us knew that walk-ins were not allowed since it was not well-advertised. The website's interface seems to not have been updated since the early 2000's, so it was not user friendly. As I finished signing up and walked back in for the next class, the instructor informed me that I did not sign a waiver or add my emergency contacts (which never popped up during the process online), so the money was taken out of my account and I was unable to take the class. No refunds are allowed either per their policy. Since there was only one instructor working each half hour class, no one was able to help us sign up properly."
"I have been apart of Spin Sity since it was stationed In Antioch, from watching Jen's boys to being one of Spin Sity's flyer girls and bringing new people into the studio. The studio has always been something I have believed highly in. Now that I have finally been able to take classes I am even more in love. Working out in heels has to be the coolest thing ever!!!! Within the last two months taking 10 classes each month I have gained more upper body strength, lost 15 pounds, and have been able to break out of my shell. I love all of the classes. The variety of the classes is my favorite part the fact that not every class envolves the pole makes you feel even more comfortable. Every class is super fun. I absolutely love the instructors and the wonderful ladies I get to meet and take classes with as well. Everyone comes in all shapes and sizes and noone is discriminated against. Its a very fun and friendly environment. The Spin Sity classes i sign up for are one of the few things I look forward to each day (well every day there are classes (;). Sign up for a class or two!! I guarantee you will not regret it!! :D"
"I have been taking classes at Spin Sity for over a year now. The exercise is amazing and the other students and instructors are awesome! The studio offers tons of different classes for all levels. From Pole Fitness to Booty Work to Chair Dance. There is something for everyone. There's even an Open Gym class where you can just play around. The classes are never too full and the students range in age and size. So don't think you have to be 21 and a size 0. Let your inhibitions go and just have fun :D Sign up for classes today!"
