24 Hour Fitness

"Oh wow... I was going to switch from Planet Fitness to 24hr because of the hours and hopefully better equipment. Looking at the pictures I was impressed and was ready to go. I called and was told the fees were 40.00 a month. Good gyms are worth the increase over PF at 10.00 a month with broken showers and insufficient equipment. Then I read the reviews. Holy snot... grossly filthy, broken equipment, and I'm leary of the customer service. I'm an older guy (65) who was a gym rat in my day. The person on the phone seemed like the few questions I asked were intruding on his texting time or what ever the new generations are calling it. I will check out there 24hr locations."

"I have a work schedule that is very inconsistent throughout the week. shifts ranging from regular 9-5 to mid afternoons to sometimes even grave yard shifts . I am very grateful for college grove 24 to be open 24 hours like the name should be . Before or after work, I am still able to a training session in. front desk people welcoming cant name all of them top of my head but Jaylen , Anthony , Taylor , Shalyssa , Khal and Jasmine are my preworkout motivation when i get to see them. Most importantly, everything is well sanitized and organized . They have all the essentials you need to start working out . It does get busy but I can always find a plan B to fulfill my goals. Ever since I switched from crunch to this 24 , Gains are immaculate ."

"I've been going to the gym here for 6 months and everything seemed pretty good, but because I didn't have time to go to the gym, I have to froze my account and pay fees. In December 2023, I froze my account, they said I would have to pay the fee, and I paid. But by January 2024, I still saw money being deducted from my card and I went to ask the staff to cancel my membership and did not want to have money deducted anymore. She told me that it had been canceled and there would be no fees any more. And in February 2024, my card was still charged 54.99 USD while I canceled in January, and they said that was a freezing fee that I had to pay? Membership: 08/02/24 - 07/03/24 for $34.99 CONVERTED TO Adjust freeze: 08/01/24 - 07/02/24 for $34.99 ???? So how much is the freezing fee really and when you cancel your membership you still have to pay the freezing fee?"

"Lots of equipment but this place is filthy. Feel like I'll catch some kind of disease here. The walls/ceiling from the pool area have mold on them. The saunas stink real bad like mold too. Most equipment doesn't get wiped down and there's fingerprints and sweat on everything like the treadmills/stairmasters. The shower areas are also dirty. They need better janitorial and cleaning to be done here. Other then that it's a solid gym to work out at. Don't use the pool and jacuzzi cuz it only gets cleaned once a week and you can see the dead skin coating the bubbles in the jacuzzi making them black."

"I’ve been coming here for about 2 years now. I’ve liked this gym almost entirely for its size and equipment. One thing I’ve never been inpressed with is the cleanliness here. It’s slowest gotten considerably worse in the two years I’ve been coming here. They’ve always been really bad about keeping the sanitation stations stocked but recently have removed some all together from the gym making it’s so you sometimes have to walk across the entire gym to get a wipes which obviously negates any efficiently you might have while working out. It also discourages people from wiping down equipment which is also very problematic. On top of that now the general cleanliness for the floors is pretty appalling. The bathrooms are on the same tier as a public restroom (disgusting, I feel like I need to clean my shoes after walking in there.) I’m being generous with this review and giving it 2 stars because the staff here are friendly . I’ll take this review down if they begin to address this but as of right now this is without a doubt the dirtiest/most unsanitary gym I’ve ever been to."
