"It is my utmost pleasure to train with Kelleher Sensei. Kelleher Sensei is unique in his teachings of Aikido. He is absolutely the technician. I’ve observed him for several years; now I have the opportunity to train with him on a regular basis. His classes are all ranks from kyu ranks to yudansha ranks. As a lifetime martial artist myself; it is extremely paramount to me to train continually. The learning never stops. I’m constantly thinking outside the box. Learning from everyone. As there are many individual’s crossed trained like myself in several arts. If you’re looking to train as a beginner, intermediate, or advanced student; Kelleher Sensei provides a safe and fun environment to start your journey in Aikido, or advance your technical, tactical, etc…training across the board. Kelleher Sensei is very likable and approachable to answer your questions. Kelleher Sensei brings out the very best in his students, thus that philosophy is passed on from student to student. It’s great to see so many familiar faces, new ones as well. Fideli Certa Merces “ To the faithful the reward is certain” Tommy Eddings Retired USMC"
"My dad has done aikido for a long time, and has mixed it with a lot of different martial arts experiences he’s had, Aikido seemed the most interesting to me. I ended up here because of a school project and thoroughly enjoyed my time at this dojo, it definitely helps to keep you in shape. I definitely felt like the amount of information to absorb was enormous, but I think that comes with the territory of what you learn. Unfortunately, after starting college I was unable to continue attending classes because of the days of the week classes are held, along with my hectic schedule with working at a hospital. Being busy Monday and Wednesday, I simply can’t justify the cost for a month and only being able to attend 1 class a week, but that’s mostly just a matter of schedules not aligning. Sensei Keheller was very open to the idea of me doing my project on Aikido, which I am very grateful for. I had great experiences there, hopefully will be able to find a time in which I can return if there’s still room for me in the classes."
"This was a great experience. Classes are great, instructors are patient and fellow students learn to help each other. Classes have a fun, trusting, and understanding ambience to them. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there but unfortunately moved out of the area. Sensei Kevin is wonderful and each instructor has something to share."
"My history of Aikido of Esc began around 2003. With Aikido and now Kettlebell Classes I can honestly say that in my experience you will not find a Dojo with such a professional, friendly and welcoming atmosphere. A truly unique style of Martial Arts training. Instructor Kevin Kelleher and students motivate you to achieve your own personal best. You will learn, improve yourself physically and have an overwhelming sense of accomplishment with every class."
"When I started going to the dojo, I didn't know what to expect, I didn't even know that I was out of shape. Well after about a month or so, I had more stamina and energy, not to mention I was learning what I consider the best self defense discipline to be found. It was easy to make fast friends and Sensei Kevin was able to teach as well as build my confidence in Aikido. I moved to Texas, but if I were still in Escondido I would be going there 3 times a week as usual. Thanks Kevin for your friendship and teaching."
