"I had an absolute blast taking this opportunity. I purchased the 2-hour lesson with Kyle and it was the highlight of my time spent in CA. First of all, they were able to squeeze me in same-day! I was feeling spontaneous and they graciously were able to book me in for the last spot for the day. Kyle was extremely efficient in everything; communication, patience, kindness, and safety! It was a delight getting to know him whilst simultaneously learning the basics of surfing. By the end of the lesson I was able to stand up on the board and ride the wave all the way to shore! Learning with someone like Kyle is such a treat. You can feel the love he has in what he does and I think he was even more excited than I was when I finally stood on the board. He deserves all the love and if I were to venture back over to San Diego, I know I'd bee line it to La Jolla to take another lesson with him. All I needed to do was show-up at the beach where his van was parked. It took me a little bit of time to find a spot since it was a pretty packed parking lot, but I was able to find one with plenty of time to spare before my lesson began. Once I was able to meet up with Kyle, he gave me a wet suit to put on and then we hit the water! I was having such a great time that the 2 hours were over before I even realized.
