Pole Buzz @ Queen Bee's 3925 Ohio Street, San Diego, CA 92104

"I am very hesitant to write this review as I do not like to comment anything negative to a business. However, I do want my experience to be highlighted for others who decide to take a class. I took a beginners tricks class where the instructor was also new. She showed up 14 mins late into class (which I understand things happen), however she went 15 mins over to compensate but did not inform us we would be running over. Since there is no parking and we have to find street parking, I decided to park at the Diamond Parking lot right outside Pole Buzz as there is a QR code for discounted parking when using that lot. Unfortunately since the class ran over and we were never informed, I received a parking ticket from Diamond Parking, which I then appealed and was declined. I copied Pole Buzz into the email to try to have them back me up and prove that I truly did pay for my hour and the instructor ran over, but they did not assist or help in my appeal whatsoever. Your teachers need to show up on time, and if they want to run over they need to tell us as we pay for one hour of parking. This was an extremely unprofessional experience as pole buzz has not replied back to me on this, I have paid for numerous classes with them and supported them till now. Not only did I pay for the class fee, but I pay for the parking fee which I should not have to be charged a parking ticket due to an instructor not handling her class well. Thank you."

"(first rating: 1 star) Didn't even make it to the classes because of their passive aggressive response through Instagram. Having looked through their site, I needed clarification about being a complete beginner vs already knowing the bare basics, and their response was "You can check our website." Anyway, definitely deterred to even try the classes Edit: I was approached by the manager to address the situation pointed out above. They cited business costs for the short response that "I" perceived as dismissive. I appreciate that they saw my point while they also explained the reasoning. Nonetheless, I think their website can be better set up so that it is clearer and people don't have to approach them with simple questions that they cannot afford to answer in a non-dismissive way. I also app that they were still willing to honor a free pass due to leaving a review (regardless of it being good or bad)."

"Queen bee pole buzz has been and will always be a special place in my heart. I loved all the time I spent here, classes, open pole and performance trainings, studio show cases, and competition trip. It’s not only a dance studio but a community, where I met so many amazing people and friends. If you are a person like me, who value a studio more than just a place to dance, you will love it here."

"I love this studio! Everyone is super friendly and chill. I did privates with Calypso who has so far taught me so much in just a few sessions. Her classes are often booked so make sure to reserve a spot ahead of time. It’s def worth it! Lorena is great at communicating when classes are cancelled and offering possible make up sessions. She has also always come off as professional, yet very friendly. Haven’t taken any classes with her yet but will on Monday. Can’t wait! - Cass"
