"They need to start listening to members and their staff some of these owners at the franchises seem to get away with bothering the females and have no accountability for making people feel uncomfortable"
"It is a scam, especially, Teacher Training Program. If you just want to do the program for learning purposes don't do it at all because not only you won't learn anything but also you will lose your passion for Pilates. If you want to apply for a job at Club Pilates that's a separate story. The horror will begin by calling their centre. Irrespective of which centre you call most probably they wouldn't know a thing about teacher training because these are franchises and the owner keeps changing. The entire staff was clueless. I should have considered this as a red flag but I let it go as I thought not everyone knows everything. I decided to cancel right after the first weekend classes itself but they kept like $2700 even though their brochure said they can keep max 15% of the total amount - $4750 in this case. According to them, I had accessed the online course. I ended up completing 60% of the course in like 10 hours because videos are way too old + highly disorganised. There is nothing majorly interesting in the video that you wouldn't already know so it is obvious that a student will go through them quickly enough. From the first lesson onwards you would be pointed to Lesson 10 links only to see (these lessons are locked). They are just exercises and you would technically just skim through it if you have taken 3-4 Pilates classes in your life. My instructor herself didn't seem to be passionate at all about Pilates. The knowledge she shared was mostly(read all) bookish. Typically she was just reading out the stuff written in the notes they give out and charge a ridiculous amount for the same information that is already available for free. If the job is not your aim and you just want to learn Pilates there are numerous podcasts that are more organised + have the latest information on the topic. Read any Anatomy book and you will be good. Don't go through the online course as they will just charge you ridiculously for that. It is better to take a couple of classes to see if you like it and then decide for yourself. If you have space in your house just buy a balanced body reformer or just take classes at any Pilates studio. Even the classes are pretty stupid. One of my instructors was only interested in her workout never even took an initiative to see what others are doing or if they need any modification. Since I left the course I have been learning Pilates myself via Podcasts and Youtube videos. The experience has been much better. Although I wish I had to lose $2700 I might as well donate that money than waste it here. I hope they upgrade their online platform with that money."
"They took money out of my account by mistake. Now it’s taking over a month to get it back. I’m still waiting for them to mail me a check. I will never have anything to do with this company."
"Make it very inconvenient to cancel your membership!! I haven't been to a studio for 8 months and there still charging me fees when I asked to be removed because of financial hardships! Now They've sent me to a collection agency. Don't sign any forms until your sure you want it!!"
"DO NOT buy a monthly membership - Owner of local pilates location in Wantgh, NY was rude, unprofessional and insulting when I called for the 2nd time to cancel my monthly membership. Threatened me with late fees, etc. Classes are so difficult to book - they fill up quick and the times of available classes fall during the work day. only open half days on Saturday and Sunday. I gave one star as the instructors are great."
