"AVOID!!! If I could rate Dr Lambourne with a negative star, I would! One of the most unprofessional OBGYN’s I’ve come across! My mother had an emergency visit and when poorly greeted by Dr Lambourne, the first question he asked was what insurance we had! Who knew the guy was an insurance agent more than he was a doctor…? Despite paying cash, he continued to ask us about insurance and ended up spending our entire visit looking up our insurance history!! What a shame. He then hesitated to treat my mom and left without giving us a proper diagnosis. Most inhumane doctor I’ve ever met!"
"During my fiancé’s near 41 week pregnancy, Dr. Lambourne incessantly questioned our decision to deliver our child at Mercy San Juan Medical Center. While initially it was mainly an insurance decision for us, we personally didn’t have any reason to question our choice of hospital. Dr. Lambourne however repeatedly referred to Mercy as the “Death Hospital” and said on more than one occasion that he did not like delivering babies there. Him using the words “death hospital” in association with our inevitable delivery location seemed very uncalled for and very unprofessional. Dr. Lambourne also commended the Placer County board decision to ignore the governor’s Covid mandates and awkwardly expressed his dislike for the governor during one of our routine check ups. On December 3rd, my fiancé went into labor. Everything was going fine at first and her contractions and dilation progressed quickly. On the morning of December 4th, our baby’s heart rate plummeted and my fiancé was rushed into the OR for an emergency C Section. Doctor Lambourne was not there for her. His representative arrived in time to observe the end of my fiancé’s cesarean and told everyone in the OR that she was late because of red lights. Our baby was born at 6:42 AM and was immediately rushed to the NICU. He was diagnosed with mild encephalopathy and was put on a cooling treatment for 72 hours. After 7 days of additional treatment and observation he was discharged and we were finally able to take him home. During my fiancé‘s 4 day stay at the hospital, she was treated wonderfully by all the postpartum staff. Dr. Lambourne didn’t visit her until a few days after the birth. During his visit he made snide remarks about the methods the resident doctor had used. He also thought it was an appropriate time to joke with my fiancé, saying that while she couldn’t do anything vaginally during her recovery for six weeks, I was more than welcome to use tampons or douche myself. The people at the Mercy San Juan “death hospital” saved our child and took great care of my fiancé. Without their care and their state of the art NICU, our baby might not have survived. Doctor Lambourne, in my opinion, is a horrid, arrogant, classless and biased doctor who couldn’t care less about his patients or their families. Luckily his name is not on our child’s birth record and I hope that we never have to deal with him again."
"The doctors are great, but they run behind and don't call you to tell you. I arrived 15 minutes early for my appointment and had to wait 65 minutes PAST my initial appointment time (told wait would be 30-45 min). All the desk staff said was I should call ahead next time to see if the doctor is on time."
