"This doctor has a HORRIBLE bedside manner. I had a similar experience today, to another review writer. Dr. Silverman was impatient, did not seem to care nor listen to my concerns. I couldn't figure out why she was so grumpy. I felt that she was talking down to me. I asked her about hormone replacement therapy and got a dismissive lecture. This appointment left me feeling disappointed in Scripps, and worried I won't find a doctor that cares about my hormone levels, now that I have completed menopause. Look for a different provider if you want a kind doctor who listens."

"I have been with her through 4 pregnancies. 1 normal delivery, one with genetic problems and an emergency c-section, one miscarriage, and the one I'm carrying now. She is HIGHLY educated, very caring, tells the truth as kindly as bad news is to hear. As an employee of the hospital, I work with dozens of good OB/gyns. I always recommend her. I research before I chose and never regretted the decision."

"Do not go to Dr. Silverman if you want any answers to your medical concerns! Within 30 seconds of my appointment, she dismissed any pain I was having and ignored the information I was providing her about my family history. She is very condescending, extremely pompous, and bragged during my appointment about how her husband is a better cancer surgeon than others in that field. According to her, you cannot make a decision until you are an adult (about age 25 or 30) and you have had children. She has no bed side manner at all and she belittled me throughout the entire appointment. She finally gave me a pathetic answer at the end of the appointment after I started crying about the extreme pain I was in. The bottom line: avoid Dr. Silverman at all costs. You won't get any help. UPDATE: I ended up having endometriosis. I was diagnosed and treated by another doctor who listened to me and believed me when I said that something was wrong. Dr. Silverman didn't listen to me and if I would have stayed with her, I don't believe I would have been treated for my condition."

"Dr.Silverman is amazing! She worked with me through an excruciating ordeal of adenomyosis. After my hysterectomy she called me (while still in the hospital) to tell me the pathology report as soon as it was available. She shared in my joy and relief that we had made the right desicion. She literally held my hand in appointments where I cried my eyes out from the pain and frustration. I am now taking my 18 year old daughter to her because I trust her so much. She is kind, knowledgeable and respectful. Everything you want in a women's health specialist!"
