"I have been with Dr. Carstens office in Riverside since 2009. I have had nothing but the best experience. During my two pregnancies I saw Dr Carstens every visit unless he was called to the hospital. The office staff has always been extremely nice to me. Letty works in the back and he's always gone out of her way to be super friendly and always awesome. I've continued to go there for my annual visits. Now that my kids are older 10 and 7 I had to bring them into one of my visits for test results. When Letty saw I had the girls with me she was so excited to see how big they were. She had me bring into the room with me to surprise Dr Carstens. He was so excited to see them it made a really cool experience for my girls that they could meet the doctor that delivered them. Since November until now I've been to see Dr. Carstens 8 times, reason being getting ready to have a hysterectomy, it may not be going in there for pregnancy but I still get the best service and they're always extremely nice to me. But he always gives me the forms I need to get everything done for the pre-op and Dr Carstens is explaining every little detail to me. All the overall experiences I have had from pregnancy, annual visits to even going in there for UTIs and now a hysterectomy I've had over all the best experience and the service I get there has never changed."

"IF I COULD GIVE NO STARS I WOULD. This is the worst place ever. They make me loose a day of work just to come in and tell me we need to reschedule a pap after they have done two paps on me and didn’t collect enough of a sample. It’s ridiculous. Of course coming in to them is money in there pockets, that’s all they care about. Plus you never see Dr Carsten he is never there and always has his helper there. She is no help what so ever. When I asked her a question or asked for refills on my prescription she would tell me she had to wait for another appointment with dr Carsten. She is absolutely no help and a waste of time and money . If you could avoid this place trust me you should."

"I see some pretty terrible reviews for Dr Carstens speaking from experience he saved my life, yes the wait time might be a little much but he's an OB babies do not announce there timing and in my case a surgery that took a turn for the worse and longer than expected. He took very good care of me and made a visit later in the hospital to check on me. Long wait in office or not I will not go anywhere else. So before you take all reviews to heart see for yourself I was impressed by the level of service I received from him and I highly recommend him he knows his stuff. As for the staff I really have not had any issues with them at all always seem very helpful the only drawback I have is that it takes too long to answer your calls almost seems like the office is closed and no answering service for when calls are not picked up might want to upgrade or hire someone just for the phones and questions."

"staff was rude, my visit was a waste of time. Asked the staff about what could be completed at my visit based on my insurance and was lied to until I got to the back office. Was going to have to go to 3 different appointments in order to get birth control. No one has time and money to spend this much time at the doctors in order to prevent pregnancy. staff should be a little more considerate as to why people go to the doctors office. Please educate your employees on how to treat their patients and how to properly advise patients about the process of your clinic. If I would have known this before I went to my appointment I would have gone elsewhere."

"First appointment was terrible. My appointment was at 2pm and left at 4pm. 1hr and 45min wait, thinking I would see a doctor. But seen a nurse. Which might have been ok but the nurse was rude, asking personal questions with out even having the door closed yet. I left the office stressed out. I also asked her if it was normal to wait 1hr and a half for a appointment. And her reply was yes. This office has signs posted that you will be charged if your 25min late. But they think it's ok to have you wait for 1hr and a half. I think I may have been ok with waiting, if I got the proper care. But waiting that long for just a rude nurse is upsetting. Sad when you go to a doctors office for prenatal care and only come out stressed out after a bad experience. So far I would not recommend this place to anyone. Praying my next visit is not with the same nurse. And I get a professional Doctor. I picked this doctor based on how long he has been in the field! Hopefully he sees this is how his staff handles things when he's not in."
