Petco Grooming

"December 2023: I like the grooming sesh of my furbaby today. They even gave her a free bandana. I like this branch compared to the Concord. Staff is listening and very nice. I changing my 5 stars rating to 1 star. January 2024: My husband brought my furdaughter back last Friday January 19, 2024. There some glitches that the appointment was canceled but they still accepted my dog. We availed the bath and haircut plus the essentials plus. The face of my dog seems not cut. I love the bow but the bandana the groomer put is so small for my dog and seems like choking her. In addition, i found a BLOOD CLOT on the nail of the left back paw. There’s a mark in the nail that the groomer attempted to cut it super short and cut the vein that caused to bled. The groomer didn’t inform my husband about the incident and I am not sure if the groomer did a first aid. I tried to call but no one is answering. My dog is in pain and doesn’t want us to touch his left paw. The first photo was when my daughter was groomed last month and the second photo was from January 19 that my husband sent me. Look at the big difference on the face. Mind you, that’s the only focus haircut we wanted the groomer to focus on."

"Mariah is always the sweetest with my doggos and no request is too big. She consistently goes out of her way to ensure every interaction we have is fun and professional. My dogs are excited to come get groomed because of Mariah."

"The experience here was bad due to skipped nail trims and bad attitudes. Long story is that we paid for the add-on services that includes an upgraded nail buffing + teeth brushing, but Sarah didn't do either of those and actually didn't even cut their nails (see photos). The haircut was very choppy as well. Both of my dogs that Sarah did are shedding like crazy in the car and on the couch, which isn't typical for a dog after a bath + dry + haircut. The other weird thing is that the grooming cashier wouldn't let me see my dogs before payment - which is when you input the tip - so that was very awkward and took forever to handle. I think she was trying to cover up the fact that they didn't do all of the services. Also the grooming cashier double charged me for one of the materials fees, which is an honest mistake that is easy to fix. But she started arguing when I tried to show her the line item that listed "materials fee 2 @ 5.99 totaling 11.98" and she wouldn't even look at the receipt. Another representative had to step in to highlight it for her and do the refund. The original girl had a very bad attitude, but the second girl was super nice! Edit: I have to change the following positive comments as I've found that she quicked almost every single one of my dog's nails and she has been bleeding horribly all over my house and is in a lot of pain. Former:"However, quick note that Ellie did an incredible job with my third dog! Everything is even + perfectly rounded. She's very, very skilled and I don't think she'll be at Petco long since she can get a job at a professional grooming salon with the quality of work she performed." We only began coming here since we're new to the area and hadn't found a real groomer yet, but the quality is very poor for the high price ($100 per dog) when the services aren't even being performed, so we won't be back."
