"Unfortunately my experience with the Santa Cruz midwife was less than mediocre. I didn’t have the experience that I’d hoped for after meeting with them. I interview about 4 midwife and we decided to go with Sharon. Our first visit felt awkward and not informative. We gave a $500 deposit cash to Sharon and after that I unfortunately had a miscarriage. There was no phone call from her, no text nothing. It was very odd and disheartening. But that’s not what was upsetting. What was upsetting is that when we asked her for our deposit she said she used it to pay for the lab test while we paid for our own lab test. We didn’t appreciate that and felt that it’s just about the money and not the care for the human."
