"What an amazing hike and beautiful beach. Be aware that black beach is just around the point with “clothes optional” but recommend hiking out on the trail at black beach."
"Should probably avoid if you’re looking for an easy hike, afraid of heights or hiking with kids. Thrilling hike! Starts off with a rocky, slippery downhill hike. There’s a plank you need to walk on, some rock formations you have to squeeze through, some narrow ledges and a rope to use to get to the beach at the end of the trail. Very exciting and fun hike if you’re looking for and adventurous hike to the beach!"
"Love this trail. Zero problems in my hiking boots even in some slippery rain. Difficult level trail and if you come prepared you’ll be fine. Many people I see on this trail do not come prepared and have problems."
"Almost died with my besties 10/10 experience. Although don't go too far to the right when you finish the trail..."
"Dangerous! Not suitable for young children and even adults! We went with our 4 kids and 3 had a bad fall. The hike started off beautifully, very scenic and picturesque, however things got really difficult toward the end of the hike with the trail getting slippery and narrow. 2 of our kids fell down the canon into the riverbed, luckily to only suffer minor cuts (although a big scare!). Another adult fell in and injured his leg while I almost fell in and was literally clinging on the edge before someone gave me a hand. The injured man had to be rescued at the beach. A lifeguard there mentioned that many people were severely injured there. Waring signs were posted only to be destroyed. Due to the difficult terrain, many injured there had to be airlifted out and rescues are difficult. This trail either needs to be closed or better maintained. Current conditions are just NOT safe. Be warned and be careful if you decide to go."
