"Do not see her if you are overweight or a women. She is very dismissive and neglectful of health issues."
"If I could, I would leave 0 stars. I would leave NEGATIVE stars if I could. This was BY FAR the absolute WORST care I've received so far. I was referred to see Lynnette in the endocrine department for concerns about a potential thyroid issue. To start off, I had to wait nearly 6 months for my apointment with her. After 4 months of waiting, SHE canceled my original apointment with her ( I wasn't notified until after I arrived for my apointment ), and then the soonest she could see me was another month and a half later. I was direct about what I was coming in for. This should have been a simple apointment but instead I was grilled for over 40 minutes about my personal life - things that had nothing to do with endocrinology. ( asking about my mental health to an inappropriate degree, pressing me to give details about things I wasn't comfortable discussing, talking over me, cutting me off, or straight out telling me that what I was experiencing was wrong, etc etc. ) She was INCREDIBLY dismissive about my concerns, HORRIBLY insensitive about my issues, and overall treated me in a horrific manner. I spoke to her about how I have an eating disorder ( as she asked about my eating habits ), and she scoffed and rolled her eyes at me. She questioned if I "was really anorexic or if I was just calling myself that." She told me, with only asking minimal questions about my symptoms, that there was NO WAY I could even potentially have a thyroid disorder ( even though all of the women in my family have one ), and instead INSISTED that I am most likely diabetic ( despite having no diabetes in my family and even though my glucose levels have been monitored and are perfectly fine - which she ADMITTED ). She also gave me a "treatment plan" that involved very harsh strict diet ( despite me already having meals made by a nutritionist - which she claimed were UNHEALTHY and bad for me??? ) and told me I need to be cutting out food groups and counting my calories - after I had JUST talked to her about being anorexic. She also told me that because my CRP is extremely high, I need to be cutting out inflammatory foods. I told her that my CRP is high because I am diagnosed with Lupus and she INSISTED that all I need to do to "cure" it is cut out foods that I already don't eat. She was incredibly dismissive and triggering. I'm very lucky to have a support system because someone else with an eating disorder could have been very easily triggered into a relapse. I am horribly disappointed that Prevea would let someone like this work for them."
