Our students delve into media creation in their first semester by creating blogs, taking photos, conducting interviews, and producing videos and podcasts. These are some of the opportunities you have with us: He reports and writes for The Lumberjack and El Leñador. Contributes featured content to Osprey magazine. Broadcasts live bands on KRFH-FM radio. Create a public relations campaign for a non-profit organization. Produce documentary videos on climate solutions. While building a portfolio, students gain a deeper appreciation for media history, ethics, and learn their rights to publish, protest, and photograph. Our journalism program prepares students to work professionally in media and public relations or to start their own business. We prepare our students for graduate school and law school.
