"This doctor recommended laser abrasion surgery and a biopsy directly after giving birth for precancerous cells. Against a second opinion, I proceeded with the procedure due to her persistence that I was in imminent danger (later learned HPV cells take decades without treatment to become cancerous). Due to being postpartum, bleeding was excessive. The office visit was traumatic with a lot of cauterization. I developed a reaction due to the incorrect packing and suturing. I called the office all day without a response. After demanding to speak with her, I was able to get her on the phone (days afterward). I was crying and in pain and she told me that the procedure, “was very hard on her”. I ended up in the ER to fix the suture job and learn that she never did a laser surgery, just a simple leap procedure.
