AC Institute

AC Institute is a nonprofit art think tank located at 2825 Dewey Road in San Diego, California. We foster experimentation and critical discussion through events, exhibitions, and publishing. Our institution supports creative ecosystems and funds aimed at supporting Black queer, trans, non-binary individuals, and Black women.

One of our recent exhibitions featured Sebastian Mahaluf's installation "Desplome" at the Patricia Ready Gallery in Santiago, Chile. We also host performances like "Living Organism," where artists create immersive experiences for viewers.

At AC Institute, we design and publish unique books on contemporary art history and criticism. Our anthology provides insights into major art movements of the 1970s, featuring essays by legendary artists such as Duchamp, Baldessari, Cage, and more. Join us in exploring the intersection of art, culture, and critical thinking.
