"A bucolic destination at an old crossroads, currently stuck in construction and sad abandonment. Worth a trip just to touch the old wood and read the historic signs, and imagine the Wisconsin of yesteryear. The nearby park is a romantic and well-maintained contrast, with a storybook bridge floating over a country stream. Fingers crossed that Cedarburg and Ozaukee County can replenish this “last” example of an American treasure into some of its past glory."

"The bridge is easily accessible. You can see the bridge which is right off the road, or park further inside the park and amble back over a foot bridge and step inside the wooden structure. Sadly, there's a lot of personal graffiti but it partially illustrates the age of the building. And while I don't agree with tagging something old, there were many sweet messages from years past. We visited during winter while the river was frozen and could walk under. Cross country skiers passed obviously enjoy that route too."
