Brittany Apartments

"Lived here for about 3 years. I had no issues with management--everyone was really friendly and maintenance issues were dealt with promptly and rent is reasonable. The fitness room and pool were very clean and taken care of. The only reason I'm giving three stars is because the walls are extremely thin and possibly the thinnest walls in any apartment I've lived in. You can hear everything in the hallways and noise travels easily from your apartment into the halls. Could constantly hear people coming and going from the apartment and doors slamming, people talking loudly from downstairs (I had an upper unit), dogs barking from other tenants units. Loud music with bass would thump the walls and trigger my noise sensitivities. Could hear a lot of noise from outside the apartments too. My unit also had plumbing issues where the water wouldn't drain quickly enough so I had to shower in a pool of water."

"I lived here for 6 months and had no issues during that time. Staff was always helpful, responsive and kind. I had recently renovated apartment and I loved how it looked. The apartment was a great value for the size and location. My only complaint is that the walls are VERY thin. I could hear everything my upstairs neighbors did and said. As well as everyone going downstairs outside of my apartment and the entrance door slamming constantly by one resident. Overall, my neighbors were very respectful and kind"

"We had an appointment to view the apartments on Tuesday 2/18 at 1:45pm. We arrive on time and no one was in the leasing office. I called many many times. My husband and I waited in the hallway with our cranky toddler for 20 min to see if anyone would show up and no one ever did. (Not to mention that the railing/wall by the stairs were not to code at all and the spaces were so big we couldn’t even let my toddler down to walk around because he’d be in extreme danger to fall off the ledge and down the stairs.) After waiting 20 minutes I left a message stating we had an appointment that day and we will be in the area for the next hour so please call us back and now it is Thursday and we haven’t heard from them at all. My husband and I currently live in Milwaukee and are in the process of moving to Madison. We drove an hour and a half with our toddler to see an apartment (that knew we were traveling long distance to see them) just for the management not to show up and to not answer or call back. Such a waste of time! I would give negative starts for management so far. I’m giving two stars simply because I never even really got to see the place and never experienced living there."

"I loved living at the Brittany Apartments. Linda, the manager and Pete, the maintenance manager, were some of the nicest people I've ever met. If it weren't for me moving out of state, I would still be living there today. Close to the West Towne Mall and loved the pounds with walking trails all walkable distances from the Brittany. The Brittany offers a HUGE pool that's heated and underground parking. The patios/balconies are a decent size as well. Check out the Brittany Apartments, they are well worth the price."

"Lived here for a little over two years and loved every moment of it and here is why: 1. The property manager, Linda, is personable, friendly and caring! 2. Pete, the maintenance man, is attentive, quick to respond and like Linda, always caring! 3. The pool and grounds are always kept neat and clean. 4. Great neighbors! 5. I loved the area! It was safe, peaceful and great for dog walking. (around Tiedeman's Pond and Stricker's Pond) 6. We loved that there are two playgrounds/parks within walking distance! We would have stayed even longer, but our growing family required a bigger place. The apartments are extremely dated... but I loved everything else so much that I didn't mind. I highly recommend The Brittany!"
