"I've only rented from this company for a few months now but I wanted to say that I've been impressed with Metro Investments. With the number of landlords/property managers that seriously drop the ball in Milwaukee, the team at Metro Investments have proven to be just the opposite. Bruce, the property manager I've worked with, has been super responsive and helpful since day 1! Honestly, everything has been so smooth and efficient in terms of communication and responsiveness. No complaints here. I have the feeling I'll be a long-term tenant!"
"The manager, Bruce was incredible the whole year I rented from Metro. Responses were extremely fast and professional, maintenance was always taken care of in a timely manner, his workers were constantly working to shovel, mow, or clean up the area. Although it was an older house, it was updated appropriately and they fixed anything we needed. I would absolutely recommend renting from them!"
"My boyfriend and I had so many maintenance issues - in particular leaks and water damage - that were not handled efficiently by this company when we lived on Van Buren. The first leak we had was with the skylight in the bathroom: their solution was to cover it with something and nail a bunch of huge nails that protruded through the ceiling. When we informed Bruce, he had the workers come back and remove the nails so instead there were just holes where the nails used to be. That's how it was left. Our next leak Bruce said was from the upstairs neighbor's AC that was supposedly installed improperly (still don't know if this was true). They didn't fix it right away and the leak got so bad that it spread to the hallway, where they had to replace the drywall and paint because of the intense water damage. The workers left huge black stains and paint stains on the carpet. Our NEXT leak was a water pipe issue from upstairs, which was right above our bed. At first it was small, and we informed Bruce right away. He said he sent someone out. The leak got worse. We informed him of that and got no response (he was on vacation and apparently no one else was regularly checking their email). 2 days later, the ceiling caved in over our bed and soaked the bed and the carpet completely. The workers came and put up new drywall but couldn't figure out the leak until days later. The carpet wasn't cleaned until a week later. At first Bruce only offered us $200 off of rent OR get the carpet cleaned. When we met with him he said he "didn't realize" how big the leak had been, as if apparently he wasn't even in communication with the workers and didn't look at our pictures in the emails. We did get 1 free month's rent because of this, but all that did was go towards buying a new bed since ours was ruined. We also had a continuous leak in the back closet and hallway whenever it rained hard or snow melted. Bruce kept telling us that there was "no drainage issue" even though this happened every time it rained/snow melted from the porch upstairs. One other thing-- When he was showing the house, he scheduled showings at all different times and days with no respect that we were still living there. Sometimes we would have between 3-5 showings a day for 5 days out of the week- it was absolutely ridiculous. I don't think Bruce is a terrible guy, but what I do know is that his maintenance crew is not well-trained and leave complete messes. They are not capable of handling maintenance issues, so be careful!!"
"I've lived at a Metro Investments property for two years now, going on a third. Prompt and personal responses to issues coming direct from management, whether it's Rebecca or Bruce. My brother also has an apartment with them, and he has also received excellent service. My apartment is awesome, and I have no complaints."
"Moving from Indianapolis on short notice, I needed a place to live. While looking for a place I came across Metro investments and had the opportunity to work the Bruce and Beka. Both of them were incredibly professional and helpful throughout the apartment search and signing process. When it came time for me to sublease my apartment, they informed me on the best ways to go about looking for a sub-leaser; as well as helped facilitate and guided me through the process. The entirety of working with them has been completely hassle free and would happily recommend their services to anyone looking for a place to live."
