"I am from Belize which is of course famous for its beautiful Caribbean Sea and water resorts. As a child I had a near drowning experience which has haunted me and prevented me from learning to swim. Many years ago, I attempted swimming lessons but I quit after only one lesson... the pool was scary, the water was cold and the instructor had little patience with me. Fast forward to 2023, my husband and I moved to Thousand Oaks and purchased a home that happened to come with a large beautiful pool. I remember secretly telling myself then that I no longer had any excuse preventing me from learning to swim. By chance, I came across a street flyer for 805 LifeGuard while walking my dog one day. The flyer stated that they work with special needs children of all ages and adults as well. I called Jasper the very next day and we got started.. Today, I am very comfortable in my pool and able to swim without hesitation. Jasper, the trainer, is VERY patient, knowledgeable and always communicates well. I highly recommend 805 LifeGuard! I turned 60 this year and I learned how to swim!!!"

"Jasper provided great swim lessons for our sons (ages 5 and 6). Both our sons could only do a basic doggie paddle before they started their lessons, but by the time they were done he had them swimming freestyle across the pool with side breaths and diving 8 feet under water to retrieve rings. They are much better swimmers now and we have a lot more confidence with them in the pool. Highly recommended."

"We hired Jasper to give our 6 and 8 year old boys swim lessons. They could “swim” before but weren’t proficient and we didn’t feel they had the skills to be safe swimmers. After the sessions with Jasper, our two boys are both amazing swimmers. It’s mind blowing to see your 6 year old who sort of doggy paddled with kicking sometimes now have a perfect Brest stroke, swim across a pool no problem, be able to swim at length underwater, etc… When our 8 year old turned 9 he had a pool part with his friends and Jasper was the lifeguard for the party. It was so nice to not have to worry about the kids, and to know they were safe and in good hands and to let the adults just relax. Worth every penny. He was very attentive and never took his eyes off the kids. Jasper is great with kids and our boys loved their lessons and looked forward to them. If you’re looking for a swim teacher or a lifeguard for an event, use him he’s the best."
