"I've been getting duplicate charges for renters insurance for months now. I emailed management as soon as I noticed, and I was notified tenants would be credited back the extra charges. That was in early December, and it is now the end of February. I've not been credited back, but instead received over $60 in "late fees" in addition to the multiple duplicate charges of renters insurance. It's actually amusing to me how it's on the tenants to notice these extra, baseless charges and on the tenants to hunt management down for a resolution. We've been unable to get a response from anyone in regards to this."
"The property manager had awful communication and didn’t help solve most of the problems I’m going to list below. They are very money hungry and will not try to fix anything. My apartment did not have air conditioning all summer long. The apartment temperature got up to 94 degrees. Maintenance came 2 times while I was home and they told me that the air was blowing out the vents but that air was hot and not cool. The air condenser was not running at all. I called a maintenance order and after three times they decided to install a window unit and it was dirty and needed a new filter. It didn’t cool my apartment just blew around stagnant air. Each floor had only 2 washers and 2 dryers. For the majority of renting only 1 of each worked. So it was hard to find a good time to wash clothes. I had to opt for going to the laundromat a few times because it was difficult to have my clothes washed when I didn’t have much to work with. I called the property manager about this and I was told to use a washer or dryer on a different floor. I thought that was unfair to the other residents since that wasn’t my floor. We had to pay for amenities that we weren’t given. Sycamore place is marketed as a luxury apartment building but it is not. Construction has been going on since I moved here and that has bothered my sleep for many nights. We had very noisy dogs on our floor. They barked every single time someone walked past that door. It became a nuisance very quickly. I was not informed of a service elevator and when I was trying to move big furniture in my unit it was almost impossible. A resident finally informed us after we tried it get a couch up the stairs for about an hour. Also I lived in a studio and having to pay $1,075 a month for little to no amenities was absolutely ridiculous. I wouldn’t recommend Sycamore Place to anyone. I don’t think it’ll meet the standards it plans to meet with it being so unorganized. I wish them the best but I would say to find a better place."
"I scheduled a tour to see a two bed room and from the moment them manger seen my and my daughter it was negative energy off bat. She took us to tour a two bed room which was so disgusting from the moment we walked in there were unknown splatters on the walls and baseboards. The smell from the apartment smelled so bad the bathroom tub and toilets were so dirty, the carpets were so dirty to the point could smell them reeking, the hallways were so bad once again there were things on the walls through the halls the carpet in the halls had huge stains on them. then once I asked her was the apartment available now she replied yes & she didn’t see a problem wit it. overall please do not waste your time viewing these apartments !!"
"When I first moved into this apartment building, things seemed promising. However, my excitement quickly turned into disappointment. The maintenance team took ages to fix my clogged tub, leaving me without a functioning bathroom for a whole week. And don't even get me started on the AC situation! It stopped working shortly after I moved in, and despite attempts to fix it, it's been a constant battle to get any hot or cold air.(STILL DOES NOT WORK!!) Parking here is an absolute nightmare. It seems like everyone forgets how to park properly, resulting in a chaotic mess. Even with a night pass, I still received tickets for parking outside my own building. Talk about frustrating! To top it all off, the construction noise is relentless. It's like having a personal symphony of jackhammers and drilling every single day!!! Overall, my experience at this apartment building has been far from pleasant. I would strongly advise exploring other options before considering this place." Because I wish I did!"
"Do not rent from this company. Their scheme is to pressure you into signing a lease, then paying the deposit, and then they disappear. I’ve left voicemails, emails, & text messages & did not get an answer back until a day before I was supposed to pick up my keys. Michelle Winter, the property manager is rude, uneducated, and combative. For the the price they charge after amenities, and parking, the customer service should be a lot better. Do not even waste your time. Your toilet will stop working & i can bet it’ll take at least a month for them to fix it but they’ll hound you for rent."
