"Friendly and helpful in sending a book and a T shirt. They also offered me stamps, and I had been meaning to order some and they had all the new stamps that I wanted."
"THE FINAL UPDATE ! I dropped off a 12 oz bag of whole roasted coffee beans ( in a box ) here on Tuesday, Nov 30th for delivery to the Gold Coast, QLD, Australia. I was told by the male worker at the service counter that for $70 it would be delivered within 3 -5 days. He gave me the receipt with the circled tracking number and said I could track it. I tracked it to LAX where it stood still for 4 days. On Dec 4th it found it's way on a plane....end of tracking. After coming back here exactly a week later and complaining about the slack service to the same employee who took the package from me and then a supervisor named Joaquin...I was told that we ( USPS ) have no control if my bag of coffee beans is detained by customs for 4 days. He did not explain why for the $70 I paid there was no day to day tracking. The bag of coffee beans was FINALLY DELIVERED VIA JAPAN TO AUSTRALIA on Dec 10th....10 DAYS after I mailed it. The tracking update appeared on Dec 10th. I can't be bothered complaining in person again so READ THIS USPS in Solana Beach !"
"They delivered my package to the wrong parcel locker in my apartment complex. When I reported the issue they contacted me the very next morning. The person I spoke to was friendly and understood the situation in a few minutes. He was able to get someone to check the community mail box within an hour where they discovered the mistake. The package was placed in the correct box and I received it. I did not expect this to get resolved so quickly and easily. Everybody makes mistakes and I'm very happy with their response."
"My landlord lost the mailbox key at my new condo. I had to change the locks so I reached out to the Solana Beach post office and the manager personally called me and assisted me with my transition to my new residence. Very helpful and responsive."
"If I could give this place 0- stars, I would. I ha e tried to call them several times regarding my stand alone mailbox up the road. I had it redone about a year ago, after my husband had to leave due to his Alzheimer's. New box, new mounting. It was solid. About 2 months ago, my neighbor that lives on the street level starting planting horrible invasive plants all around my box, young pine trees ugly palms, but mostly ground cover. Last month my numbers on the box started disappearing. Slowly being torn off. Forget the lock,it was broken long before. My mailbox started coming loose. As of today it is falling backwards. 3 weeks ago I was coming home from a doctor's appt, and witnessed the carrier pull up to the box and SHOVE my mail in. Violently. That's one of the reasons I'm going to have my mailbox lying on the neighbors ugly ground cover and foliage. I called the post office, waited on hold for one hour and 10mns. Woman answered, and tried to tell me it was not their issue. Tried again the next day. This time a lady from the Solana beach post office called me back. She laughed when I explained what was going on. Then she said in a joking voice, she would get back to me right away in the morning. Of course no phone call. Called again that afternoon, and waited another hour. And this guy said, the neighbor sounds crazy, do not enter into an altercation??? To me that was one of the,( excuse me, )stupidest things I have ever heard! I called them for help, and they are not doing what they are supposed to do. Bad customer service, and I feel for any woman who is alone, and in the same boat I am in. USPS, needs to listen. I have never been treated so poorly in my life."
