"I would give no stars if I could. Went to get an eye and contact exam. Paid for my exams and left with trials for contact lenses. I was not told that I had a time frame to contact back to see how the contact lenses worked, they just told me I’m done and that was it. Not everyone wears contacts everyday. Returned requesting for contact and glasses prescription. Was told I won’t get one for my contacts prescriptions because I never called back in their preferred time that they didn’t advise. Basically got ripped off and paid for a service I won’t be getting a prescription for. The front desk person wasn’t as helpful and her attitude was basically like that’s not our fault. NEVER GOING BACK."
"I have been going elsewhere for years, and with my benefits I was allowed 2 pair of glasses. I thought I would try walmart as they seemed to have more selection. The first visit was a lot if waiting, then when I finally saw dr she kept pushing this extra $39 test on me. I picked out my glasses, and they told me I would have to pay $24. My bill shows total was $204, I am allowed $200, so I called insurance company. They were told by Nicole, the money was allotted wrong and once claim is paid I would get a refund. That was back in June, I got glasses in May. I called walmart numerous times and they kept telling me Nicole was not in, I left my information for her to call me back and after 3 times of no return call, I called my insurance company. They called the 3rd party that processes the claim and they said it was for $224. Insurance company then called walmart with me on , Nicole said they write off $20 for the claims processor and that then gets billed to me. If I could give a zero star rating I would! Walmart vision just lost a customer and I will tell all I know to not go there. I have my receipts and no where does it state $224!!"
"Have been seen there 3 times. On my last visit I was given two weeks of normal contact lenses to try and 2 weeks of multifocal lenses to try they told me to wear them and decide which I liked better. After wearing them decided I wanted to get the multifocal lenses which by the way they are charging 2 times as much for as the online sites. When I called to order them they said I couldn't get them because it's their policy that I have to Contact them within a week, they didn't tell me this when i was given the samples to try. Now it's seems the only way they will order is if I get another exam. Even the people that I ordered the contacts from thought it sounded pretty shady. I guess all I can do is post my experience and let others learn from my mistakes. Also I left a message with Dr. Laurie to call me to hopefully resolve the situation but was told by her office staff that she cannot be bothered to speak with her clients. Very disappointing because my previous visits were good"
"Dr. Laurie is just great. Very patient and personable. That’s where the service stops. It’s been 4 weeks now since I’ve ordered new lenses. After two weeks a completely disinterested tech says 2 weeks is typical. After 3 weeks a tech says she will check with the lens manufacturer and call with a status. No phone call. When we called them the day later the tech said “for some reason the lenses were never ordered”. She claimed she would place the order. So after 4 weeks nothing. My new approach will be to get my exams from Dr. Larson, but go next door to Sam’s for glasses. The Walmart employees seem to be completely unmotivated. It’s a busy store so I suspect management doesn’t really care much."
"I came in for just my regular annual visit as a repeat customer. The exam went well, except when I found out my prescription changed, and I decided to just get new glasses at first. I usually wear contacts, but couldn't afford both all at once. I called a couple weeks later to schedule a contact lens appointment, which my insurance doesn't cover, and since it was within 3 months of my annual visit they could just use my recent visit instead of doing the whole thing over again. Good news, right? I scheduled the appointment a week and a half out, meanwhile really missing my option to wear contact lenses at work. I show up on the day of my appointment only to be told that they do not have any trial lenses in my prescription for me to wear (which you have to do in order to finalize a contact lens prescription to actually buy them) and that they would have to order them and they would be here in yet ANOTHER week. So what was the point of me going all the way there for an appointment just to be told I would be leaving with nothing? Well to pay for the contact lens exam of course! I never saw the doctor, but in order for them to order these trial lenses for me, I was told I had to pay the $35 fitting exam fee - with no exam of any kind! Why wouldn't these trial lenses be ordered ahead of time so that they were actually there when my appointment came? They already had my prescription! There was plenty of time to do so. I spent an entire hour of my Saturday dealing with this and the only thing I got from it was an additional week without contacts (a week when I really needed them) and a $35 charge on my credit card."
