BAYCAT is an institution located at 2415 3rd Street in San Francisco, California, United States. The organization believes that media plays a crucial role in shaping our culture, and in order to create a more equitable future, there needs to be equitable representation in the media. BAYCAT works to change the storytellers so that they can change the world.

With a focus on providing opportunities for women and people of color in the media and creative industries, BAYCAT offers free digital media education to low-income youth of color and young women aged 11-17 through BAYCAT Academy. The organization also trains, mentors, and employs diverse young adult interns aged 18-25 through BAYCAT Studio, with the goal of supporting their job placements at major companies and organizations.

BAYCAT Studio is known as the Bay Area's go-to storytellers for creating authentic media with a lasting social impact. The professional arm of BAYCAT has produced meaningful work for clients such as the Golden State Warriors, National Parks Service, Salesforce, Pixar, UCSF, and more.

One success story from BAYCAT is that of Iman Rodney, who started as a youth participant in BAYCAT Academy and went on to win multiple Emmy awards as a cinematographer.
