"I lived here for about a year. I had many ear wig problems, spiders, and silverfish. Whatever you do, do NOT get an apartment on the bottom floor. You will want that balcony. Patios are pretty disgusting. 450 building had many issues with the washers and dryers. After many maintenance reports, no one ever seemed to fix them. Neighborhood is quiet and around a school. Neighbors were all quiet as well and kept to themselves. They do not have a good system for outgoing mail. I suggest dropping off any mail at the post office and having your packages sent there as well so you don’t get your stuff stolen. I had about 4 packages stolen from me in that year of living there. Overall, I didn’t mind living there, but I couldn’t wait to move out. 1Bed1Bath ended up being over 900 a month.. for what you get, 900 dollars is way over budget."
"I moved out in 2021 and lived there for 5 years and will definitely give you truth about this place because I KNOW if your thinking about renting here, your reading reviews. Fist thing to note is there are 2 unit buildings.. 430 and 450. I can only speak to 430,and I've never set foot in the other. 430 has an elevator and a parking garage. To get a space in the garage its 35 dollars at the time of this review. It is 100% worth it, once you have it you never go back. The issue is spots are very limited and you might have to get on a wait list. So speak to them to find out. The people that live in this unit are a very mixed group but for the most part keep to themselves and are quite. The building itself seems on the older side. Floors are very creaky everywhere so if you can live on the second floor like I did, then you hear nothing. Building security is definitely lacking, mostly because of tenants who don't close doors behind them or leave them propped open. You get a locking mailbox, but I've had many packages stolen and outgoing mail that never was received. As long as you are able to get to your packages quickly you will be fine but definitely don't leave them there for many hours or overnight. I had a major silverfish bug problem about 2 years in, they started coming from the cracks where the heat pipes are. To be fair, management was quick to respond and sent out a guy to spray. The remaining years there silverfish are definitely still there but nowhere near as bad I would only see one about once every 2 weeks. The rent is pretty low for what's out there these days, especially since you get free water and heat..and the heat works amazing. There is a laundry room that you pay to use. The washers work very well, the dryers are just awful. A tenant warned me of that when I moved in, and that hasn't changed..expect to run your load twice. Lastly, they also give you a storage unit in the basement. It's definitely a nice add on. All that being said, It's just a cheap nice place to live, especially for your first apartment. I will say however, management is very friendly, especially Judy.. Odds are you will deal with her at some point and she is just a joy. To pay rent they have a drop box or you can pay from your bank online for free, or credit card for a fee. I enjoyed my time living there, I really did."
"For the 3 years we have lived here on and off we have experienced a high pitch squealing noise from the boiler heat. We have called several times to get it fixed and it will stop for a few months and start again. Maintenance is not responsive, and is hard to get a hold of."
"Didn’t follow the lease! My lease stated that I could have up to two dogs, not to exceed 40 lbs. When I finally decided to adopt a dog for emotional support, I called to be sure the allowed the breed when they told me I wasn’t allowed a dog living in this particular apartment building!!! They said they use the same lease for all their properties but that portion didn’t apply to me... even though this particular lease had my address and apartment number on it. I eventually got a ESA letter from my mental health provider and still got the dog I wanted. Besides that, I didn’t have any problems. I didn’t extend my lease because I didn’t trust them anymore. I felt as though they could change anything at the last minute. I definitely thought about taking them to court since a lease is a contract but it wasn’t worth the hassle since I ended up with my dog anyway."
"I have never been in these apartments, I only walk by them. I have lived in the neighborhood my whole life, they look very nice in the outside. I think I look them up online once and thought they were way too expensive for what you get, but most places in Waukesha are"
