"My 6th grader and 3rd grader have both attended CMP since kindergarten. We love our school, the teachers and community. Montessori focuses on whole child development. Just one example: last year the school brought on a full time counselor to help the kids with regular lessons on things like communication, mindfulness, recognizing and dealing with difficult emotions, etc. The ability to access a Montessori education through a charter school (tuition-free) has been a huge opportunity. There are some highly involved parents that make a huge difference, along with an incredibly dedicated staff of teachers and office support. If you are thinking of enrolling your student, please know that the enrichment programs depend on parental involvement (logistically - it’s not enforced by the school but you should be prepared to participate if you want the enrichment programs to survive). The Montessori method requires a family commitment to your student’s education and the school community to succeed, but for students that thrive on a love of learning and the freedom to excel at their own pace, CMP Carmichael is an amazing school!"
