"During the summer school session a teaching assistant was accused by administration of “abusing a child” and after an hour, that child was placed back into the class that the academic supervisor deemed to have a “possible child abuser” in her words. It is completely unacceptable for these school districts to make claims of Child abuse with no evidence and then putting these small children back under the teacher and teaching assistants supervision, as well as not informing the parent of this possible act of child abuse.Twin Rivers Unified School District will not protect your kids, the innocent and exceptional faculty, or the parents. I will never ever recommend anybody to work here!!!! RUN!!!!"
"The receptionist at the district Barbara I think her name is has horrible attitude and is no help at all ! I came to get my son enrolled and she told me to go the home school well hello of I knew the the name of it I would do that besides the fact my son is special needs and they have yet to find a school to accommodate him Here we are again, we participated in a popcorn fundraiser for my son school and raise over $300 we still haven’t got the popcorn or money back and it has been months ! There is no shortage I have spoken to several people who have sold this same popcorn and they had no problems. Someone must be commingling with money and it needs to be figured out !"
"The worst school district in the Sacramento area. As a parent and former staff member, they need to do better. Parents aren't allowed to walk their kids to the cafeteria and sit with them while they eat breakfast, there's not enough staff for all of the kids, staff are not trained or competent enough to deal with kids being disrespectful and disruptive, my kids go to woodlake and they are severely understaffed, not enough staff to kids ratio on playground, kids will curse with no consequences, my kid could be 1 minute late to class coming from the cafeteria from eating breakfast and be sent to the office for a tardy pass which is taking away from her learning time. What is worst? 1 minute late or 6 or more minutes late after being in the tardy line?"
"Very unprofessional and absolutely horrific staff. Getting my little brothers intra district transfer currently and they are asking for multiple reasons when they only need one. We gave them 2..... very rude middle aged staff that "can't do anything" they just turn you away. Please avoid them at all costs and contact the superintendent of the district Dr. Steve Martinez. They need to be humbled!! My brother is being bullied in this district and thats not a good enough reason for him to change schools?? Their attitude is atrocious and unbelievable. Please be cautious and don't let them push you around because they will try!"
"This is a horrible school district. They put most of the money into job/career positions that are not really needed instead of investing it into resources to help the children reach their true potential. My daughter was diagnosed with autism when she was 2 by a group of health professionals at Kaiser Hospital. She is a high preforming autistic child however she does still need some help. She was given an IEP through Robla School District in preschool but when I moved her to Twin Rivers they told me she didn't need an IEP, she didn't need any help she was just bad. Well I have moved her out of that school district and never mentioned her IEP or autism to the new district. Well after reviewing her in school and doing what a school should do they asked me if she had ever been diagnosed with autism and offered to test her and found that she does need her IEP. She is high functioning and will only need some help but she does indeed need it. Twin Rivers does not have your child's best interest at heart. If you can keep your child out of this district."
