"I would have to say that my experience with being a DA student had to be the best part of being at Concorde was that my peers were supportive and my teacher Ms. Patty is so supportive, she cares for her students mentally and emotionally, very understanding. What I would say for after graduating though is that if you plan on having a career for you as a back up plan in your life like me for example I went to this college to have something I can fall on and I stated that to the staff when I was enrolling and they said it’s okay, and that I’ll always have it to use if I ever want to go into the field. With that being said I felt very pushed and uncomfortable with how I was talked too when I was getting my certificates after I was done with my school year, because I went to talk to a staff who helps students with getting a job, his name is ROCKY. He was very like “why? When aren’t you going into the job?” Or “how come?” I just felt like I was forced to do what I studied when I clearly said I wanted to learn DA for a new skill and have something to fall on. Now speaking with graduation, students got emails in regards to picking up their cap and gowns, I went to pick mine up before Jan 12 2024 and their was this staff member I’ve personally never seen before and she handed me this paper and I went to ask for help because I didn’t understand it and she was like are you working already after your externship? I respond no and she just took the paper and said why? Rudely and I said because I am not going into the field yet.. she then just forcefully handed me my cap and gown. Her name was EVELYN. After that situation happened I immediately went to my teacher and told her how I felt about that time of receiving my cap and gown, my teacher came out to help get me more information on who was being rude to me and helped me feel ease from my anxiety, from EVELYN. Because I was so uncomfortable. Another thing that is a bit frustrating is that I was in process of my name being changed throughout the school year and finally got my court documents finalized and I went to ask the lady who helps with that and she said if I was still a student I said no because I technically was done with school back in Oct 25 2023, but when I got my name legally changed she told me that she couldn’t get my diploma with my new name because I’m not a student anymore and that changes cannot be made, but the school said that we won’t be able to get our actual diploma until 7 weeks after graduation and I think that is more than enough to help me out with getting my name changed on my diploma but the excuse was that I wasn’t a students anymore but I feel that if the diploma’s aren’t made yet, why can’t I start the process with changing my name Lastly Concorde is a great school overall with some staff being supportive and helpful, like my Teacher and peers but the administrators there kind of just so pushy and rude to be honest, that’s the only thing that bothered me so much."
"I’m a new student starting the MA program here at Concorde college in February and I’m really thankful to Ms.Carol, Ms. Eva, and Ms. Sonya for helping me AND my sister in making our enrollment process comfortable, fast, and understandable! Upon arrival my family and I were nervous with intimidation of enrolling into college since it was our first time and from the moment we walked in till now the ladies at the office have made us feel like family. Their reassurance and honesty is one of a kind I look forward to starting my career with the Concorde family! :)"
