United States Postal Service 1313 Main Street, Newman, CA 95360

"I have been calling the Newman Post Office for a week trying to report that my mail has been getting stolen and no one will answer the phone there. I have called all throughout the day at least 25 to 30 times a day and still no one will answer the phone. This is a United States Post Office why won't they answer their phone ?"

"Very unprofessional and don’t know how to treat customers. I requested a package pickup for one priority mail package on April 1, 2021. I also got a packaged delivered from FedEx on April 1, 2021. According to the FedEx tracking, my package was delivered April 1, 2021 at 11:36 am. The mail carrier took both my priority mail package AND my FedEx package that was address to MY address. I went twice to this post office to try and fix this. The first time I went, April 1, a lady w/ dark hair tried to help me and said they would let the mail carrier know. The second time, April 2, not even an apology was offered. They said it was an honest mistake and I understand that, but not even a sorry was offered. I said my package was basically stolen and the same lady with the dark hair said, “you accused him (the mail carrier) of stealing.” Very defensive against a customer, not good customer service skills. Last time I checked, when someone takes a package from in front of your OWN home and addressed to YOU, it is theft. The only somewhat helpful person was a lady with blonde hair who gave me a piece of paper to write my complaint. She also put her hand down in a gesture sort of saying “stop” or “enough” when the dark haired lady was telling me I accused the mail carrier of stealing. Not sure if they actually do anything with the complaints though. Now I have to wait until my package gets redelivered to me AGAIN. Overall, this situation has shed light on the incompetence, unprofessionalism, and lack of customer service skills of this post office."

"Some of my mail has been late or not delivered! Today one of my neighbors stopped by with a package that I should have received 2wks ago and she had an arm full of mail that was in her mail box that belonged to other people in the neighborhood. How many other people in town are not getting their checks, bills or other important mail because of mail persons that do not care about the quality of their work. You can blame it on what ever you want but it is just pure laziness. The mail people in this town can't be that over worked, we're not that big. Dave Newman, Ca 95360"

"Both the Post Office itself and the postal service to my home in Newman has been absolutely fantastic. The staff in the office are always fast, efficient and polite, and my letter carrier is always spot on! Elsewhere I've lived, I've occasionally received my neighbor's mail, but that's never happened once in Newman. Additionally, with the Covid pandemic and all the extra online ordering I do, I've yet to have a package lost. That cannot be said about FedEx. Great job Newman PO!!!"

"Head clerk has terrible customer service and is a very rude and condescending person. My package has been sitting for almost 5 hours and she refuses to have the deliveries sorted due to the front area being extremely busy. I was told to return at 4:30 to pick up my package but was again told the deliveries haven't been sorted due to the front area being busy and they don't have to put the package out until the following day. In the 2 times I have come down here today, I have been the only person in the main area. Was given a phone number to call the supervisor, Tyler, to file a complaint, however, in the 20 times I have called the number it is either busy, or goes to a fax machine. Mail box center at Nob Hill had way better customer service and it's a shame it was closed down."
