"Street parking in this area is extremely limited, and this school does NOTHING to get the rich entitled parents of the students to not take up parking spaces while waiting in their $80,000 cars for the students to waddle out of school. If you ask a parent nicely if they could please pull out of the curbside spot and double park like the others, they cop a snotty attitude and do nothing. Nice manners/ethics/empathy to teach your kids."
"The academics were pretty good and better than the public school system by far. However, the overall atmosphere of the school is extremely clique and you will certainly be treated better if you've got money. Basically, most of my classmates had Louis Vuitton handbags as "backpacks" and if you happened to pull up in a hand-me-down car like a few of my friends did, our peers would look down their noses at us. Once, I was pulled out of class because they accused me of practicing witchcraft. I also had a few instances where I was bullied, and brought it up to a few teachers, and they never did anything. For a "welcoming" and "accepting" atmosphere that they advertise, I can only frown and say it's not so from personal experience. So frankly, this school has completely wrecked my self-esteem and I loathe being associated with it. I had to deal with this hell for four years and I'm more than glad that I'm out. If they ever invite me to any class reunions (which I doubt will happen, as my entire class and the entire school seemed to despise me), I will have to politely decline."
"It is super exciting at the beginning of your experience, but once the truth is realized it becomes downhill and very tedious and bittersweet. I was only attending for two years and I already wanted to leave. They literally only care about you if you can afford the tuition and have high grades. Most of the students are very friendly and courteous., even cheerleaders. There is a high majority of two major ethnicity , one of them is an entire clique. You have to make sure to pick the right friends your freshman year or else the rest of your years will be miserable. What happened to me was just that. The friends I made freshman year turned out to be stuck-up, rich, judgmental know-it-alls. The school has favoritism towards people who actually do stuff, and especially seniors. Basically, if all you do is study, only a few teachers and people will know you."
"I had a wonderful experience attending OLP; the work ethic, values, and education I received have served me extremely well in my career and life path. My daughter now attends and has forged strong friendships with girls that are older and graduating as well as those in the lower grades. The Academy has provided many opportunities for her to discover her talents and ablilities. She has learned to evaluate, assess and strategize to achieve her goals. Excellent school!"
"My two daughters attended Our Lady of Peace and had fantastic experiences! They met a variety of young ladies who became friends for life. Outside appearances or social status do not matter at this school. Girls are accepted by their peers for who they are. This environment fosters an attitude of "Its cool to be smart and accomplished". My daughters were both prepared to excel at their respective Universities and study overseas. This school instills a confidence in young ladies that helps shape them for the rest of their lives. Strong, articulate, successful women who know how to listen and lead. One of the best schools in the nation."
