"Look, it's not easy running a school district from K-12. This includes all their special educational programs from K-12, as well. Given this challenge: This is an incredible school district with awesome school administrators, Regular general Ed. teachers and Special Ed Teachers, Bi-linqual Teachers and other support staff... From SCIAS, Speech Therapists to Adaptive PE teachers, Occupational Therapists and competent caring school nurses, Principals and Vice Principals, food service workers, janitors, bus drivers, and Security Guards, you don't find this consistent high quality performance across settings very often in schools. This is overall excellent quality staffing and support for all students. Everyday these educational and other professionals work hard to meet students needs against bureacratic walls and funding mechanisms that thwart progress, but they still press on and make the best of what they have everyday so students can thrive. Great school district. Hard working people here. They really care about students. And they are especially autism student friendly, which is rare. Excellent district."

"Very absent district leaders. My child was bullied, and they never did anything. We even filed a complaint with a late response. Does not follow California Education code and does not take claim serious. Sadly it's going to take a serious injury to get these over paid district leaders to do something."

"From distinguished to disturbing in a matter of years... I wouldn't send my children to school here if my life depended on it. At some point, several years ago, Valley Center was a prestigious place to send your children to school and now, it is the place where no child wants to be. From the board members to administration right down to staff, it is disgusting. Although you have those who give their time and love to your children, VCPUSD has made it difficult for many to care with the low wages and high health benefits. My advice, investigate before you move out to beautiful Valley Center and it's country living. You don't have choices in schools and small is no longer good for our children, our future leaders."
