Reviews of Native Oaks Golf Club
"Best public course in North San Diego. Great staff, course is in outstanding condition, challenging but fun layout. Highly recommended. The course is in outstanding condition, and the new Trackman range is great!"
"This is an absolute hidden gem in the San Diego area and I would encourage everyone to try it out. The course layout, particularly on the back nine, is extremely fun, with a lot of varied holes. Definitely need to be strategic and not just 'drive, iron, put' like it is on many other courses. Conditions are very good year round. Recommend 10/10. A year later, still one of my favorites in the area. Course is in great condition other than a couple bunkers. Fun layout, new and upgraded range with track man. Recommend!"
"This is my favorite golf course in all of San Diego! This course is well-maintained and well-managed. For the fees charged, it’s a surprise the rates aren’t higher! (Shhh, don’t tell them!) The fairways are lush and the greens are immaculate! The pace of play is monitored and slow players are gently reminded. There are tee boxes for every player’s ability whose skills are challenged; risks/rewards are evident in every hole. Most importantly, the staff’s warm & friendly personalities provide a warm welcome to both regulars and new comers. It’s like coming home to friends! John never runs out of smiles, plus jokes to boot. Steve’s presence presents kind reassurance and unspoken encouragement. Tom & Dustin are some of the friendliest pro shop guys us ladies have ever met! Their carts have GPS and I just wished they have music capabilities. No worries, we bring our speakers. Lastly, I can’t wait to try their newly-installed launch monitors! Overall, they are doing a great job and I’m glad this course exists!"
"Course was good n good shape, a bit over priced at $110 each. But the kitchen was awful! Attached is a pic of what I ordered, a club sandwich with Fries....I got a a turkey wrap with a bit of avocado and bacon bits and a bag of chips????? The wrap is mostly lettuce and a small cup of ranch that I am supposed to figure out how to apply to my wrap while I play golf!!! Worst snack bar experience ever, sadly disappointed ☹️."
"Best kept greens of any public golf course I played this whole summer...the greens are better than Torrey pines. The greens are fast and well manicured. The fairways was tighter than your average golf course and the Par 3's was very challenging. Each Par 3 had a water obstacle that you had to overcome. Overall, a great course at a great price of $37 for seniors. The beverage cart was well stocked and rolling throughout the course. Can't wait to play the course in late October when the fall colors come out."
