"Annette Barcelona ruined my life! I used to have such a passion for ballet but once I entered my teen years alot of medical issues started popping up and it became harder for me to dance causing me to start missing classes because of this. Barcelona knew this about me as I had a 504 plan and would email her every time I was going to miss a class or show up with an injury. Even though I had these issues I still tried my hardest to be there and do the best I could. As an experienced ballerina I wanted and expected to be corrected so I could be better. But she gave up on me once I started missing classes and showing up with injuries. Whenever I would be able to dance she just wouldn't give me the time or even look my way, a few times I would purposely mess up to see if she would even look at me or try to correct me. She never would and that's when I started to feel like I wasn't worth anyone's time. Because of Annette Barcelona I felt that I wasn't worth it and retired from ballet, and because my self esteem had pretty much been crushed and thrown out the window I now have severe anxiety about rejection and rarely leave my house for fear that my worries of being given up on again will come true. So congrats SDSCPA on hiring and keeping an ablist, close minded, intolerant person as your department chair for the dance program."

"This place is AMAZING! It is only my 8th week of school and I am in love with it. It is an amazing environment for everyone. The teacher are radical and tubular! I know these are going to be the best years of my life, highly recommend!"

"My kids started going to this school and changed dramatically. In the first two weeks of school, our children came home calling us “Toxic Parents”. I have a Master degree in Family Studies. I know what “Toxic Parents” are. This school is messed up. The kids are taught to hate their parents. Be aware! I have many more stories over the last three years. I want to tell to the San Diego School Board. My kids no longer attend that school. We are a happy family again."

"Parent Ryan Downing has made it his mission to discredit a vendor that was part of your cultural night over something she didn’t do. He went as far as calling the county to report her business. The school has done nothing more than just say “it was a mistake sorry” but the consequences of what this parent has done to this small business doesn’t get fixed with an emailed “sorry” the same way Ryan attacked It’s in the Filling! should be the same way he apologizes to her."

"I'm pulling my daughter today. I pulled her last week but due to the incompetence of the office staff I've been sitting outside for an hour waiting for someone, anyone, to figure out how to disenroll a student. Three years at this cool and I have never been able to speak with anyone in the office when I call and or leave messages but the teachers and counselors call in a panic later. Much, much later. I can't figure out why there is a phone at the front desk. They dropped the ball with my daughter countless times during her attendance at this school. Regarding counseling and her well being. Even after speaking with her counselor AND the vice principal. I'm glad she will be out and moving on. If you wish to have good communication with office and staff I not recommend you not send your children to this school. One star for the good teachers she liked and the ones who actually emailed me."
