LA Academy Middle School

"I have three children who’ve attend this school, of which one culminated. I have had some reservations about this school and haven’t removed the two that remain at this school out of convenience. The Principal is awesome and for the most part so are the teachers. The office staff (front desk) and administor (Smooth without the h) on the other hand are concerning! It is disappointing that LAUSD hires individuals like them to work at schools who give two hoots about the success of their students! Individuals like them are a big part of what’s wrong with LAUSD. If it wasn’t for their ineptness I would definitely recommend this school."

"When I first came here I was scared to become a middle schooler. Elementary made school boring for me and it really numbed my brain. But when I came I was surprised with the teachers and students. I made tons of friends and had a blast. This school made me an extrovert. When I move from LA I will remember the 2 years of fun that I gain from this place. I also remember my teachers and their awesome personalities and ways of teaching I never thought were possible. I lived in LA my whole life and this is one of the best memories I will ever keep. Thank you."

"Best Middle School ever the teachers really motivate you to do your best and dont Let you quit. Thanks to Mrs. Romero she never Lets me give up they have really nice teachers. Yeah you should really enroll your kids here. They also have a S.T.E.A.M Magnet Program which I really like. Best School ever."

"This school is ok. A lot of people say it's bad, but its not. It's just depending on the kids if they like to fight, I and others that don't like to get into fights and we don't. So its not bad, it's on the kids desicion if they like getting into fights."

"The worst. Went for help. not wanting to go to school resulting from bullying which I had reported before to the point that her tantrums were public instead of helping vise principal reported child abuse and took her away causing emotional drama investigation resulted improbable. They should concentrate to resolve and control those with real and odvious problems like bullys. They are responsible for well being and protecting kids not to cause harm and not trying to excuse they're incompetence."
