"My husband and I did the Weekend Survival training. We learned so much and had a ton of fun! One of the best things we've done. We do a lot of backpacking and wanted to make sure we were prepared for every situation. This course was definitely worth the time and money. Adam Mayfield was our teacher. He was awesome...very informative, super helpful, and entertaining."

"This is an amazing survival school that has something for everyone. From seasoned outdoor adventurers to those who have never set up a tent, you'll find something here to take you to the next level. The staff is absolutely amazing and their collective knowledge could fill several books. I love the 3 day critical skills course. It's a great combo of wilderness survival and first aid. I keep coming back to practice the skills I've picked up. Be prepared to sweat, learn and have a blast. Hope to see you out in the field."
"Wow!! What an amazing experience just spending two days with Adam Mayfield and Shawn Lindstrom in the mountains just outside of Big Bear. My wife and I really didn’t know what to expect . I would say we are advanced outdoor enthusiasts and have an active lifestyle. This program utilized improvisation and teamwork to get tasks done that could be required finding shelter, making fire, and extracting during an emergency in the field . Super informative and the boundless knowledge that Adam has was enlightening and creating outdoor shelters under the watchful eye of Shawn made you appreciate what is required to survive in the wilderness. If you choose to take the two day critical survival skills program … bring a tarp. You’ll need it to carry supplies to your shelter. Make sure you know the program you’re going into. You may be asked to do physical tasks that would be required in a real-life situation. These classes are not ideal for small children . They are adult oriented and should be taken seriously! Thank you Adam & Shawn!"
"Coyne Survival School’s training is practical, personable, and indepth. I’ve taken three trainings so far (Wilderness Survival, Wilderness First Aid, and Firearms Familiarization). After my first two courses, and seeing the variety of other trainings, I opted for the lifetime membership and already have my next three months booked with classes. Now, I can refresh my survival skills which all of us need because the comforts of civilization quickly disappear once chocolate hits the fan. Try a course today. I’d recommend the Wilderness Survival and First Aid if you like to day hike."
