Grand River Station

"Having lived in other buildings similar to this style, this one is the worst I've ever lived in. It's actually disgusting... Tenants commonly leave garbage and messes in the hallway/lobby which take over a week to be cleaned (not sure by who). The elevators ALWAYS stink. Appliances are EXTREMELY outdated and the maintenance team acknowledged and don't care. The apartment I've rented wasn't cleaned at all, and somehow between the time I viewed the apartment and when I moved in they managed to create a giant stain in the middle of the carpet. Hire a daily maintenance team to clean the elevators and lobbies and replace appliances and maybe it wouldn't be so garbage. I could go on with the list of complaints but honestly you're better off not knowing and AVOIDING THESE APARTMENTS AT ALL COSTS."

"I've lived here since it opened started out good but with management changes started going down they are rude and the apartment I'm actually is a mess took 2 years to get ew windows new toilet and almost a couple times a month someone is fixing my ac I would think hard about moving there unless u want rude management and more"

"Apparently when you make a noise complaint about your downstairs neighbors playing bass every night in the MIDDLE of the night, the office manager will argue with you and tell you that you’re not not hearing noise from her besties it has to be from “somewhere else “. Thanks for nothing while they still are playing bass every night!!!!"

"I lived at Grand River Station for 2 years. For the first 1.5 years it was all that I could have wanted and more. Management and maintenance were absolutely outstanding. Always willing to help, welcomed into the office with open arms, and Terry the maintenance man was more kind and helpful than words can explain. When new management (Gorman & Company) took over it was a complete 360. I can't begin to explain how HORRID this company and the people they sent into the building are. The office management are a complete JOKE. They are unprofessional, ill-mannered, and could care less about their tenants. They are never in the office, never return calls, and when they are they can't even have the decency to be respectful and helpful. The "maintenance" team is unreliable and takes literally forever to respond to a maintenance request. (i.e I had a water leak under my sink for at least 2 weeks to where I had several large bowls underneath and having to replace them daily due to filled with water.) Also, our recycling privileges were taken away due to the fact that the maintenance crew was too lazy to empty it out on daily basis. Yet, the tenants were blamed for it being overfilled. This was never an issue before Gorman & Company took over. If a problem happened within the building, the tenants were blamed. They couldn't ever take responsibility for problems that were out of the tenants hands. I could go on and on. If you would have asked me 2 years ago about this place, I would have said nothing but exceptional things about it. I am sad to have to write such awful things about GRS because of how beautiful of a building it is and how spectacular it was at the beginning with Julie, Terry, and then Nicole. Now, I would not advise to anyone to move into this place. I couldn't wait to move out of here and get away from the rude ass management. These people are a joke and it's a shame they took over such a beautiful building."

"Since ownership of GRS was changed to Gorman & Company, it has been terrible. These are the same people that own Gund Brew Lofts, so keep that in mind when renting. Management is rude. The price is way too high for what you get and prices have been raised. I would have been there for three years but didn't renew my lease this year because of these reasons. You can get way more in this area for the price you pay."
