"I've really enjoyed my experience here! Prior to finding Slow Fox I'd never taken dance lessons before. I love to dance for fun out with friends, so the idea of "ballroom dancing" sounded WAY too formal for to me. To my surprise, the atmosphere at Slow Fox was laid back, fun, really welcoming, and supportive! Natalie the owner works hard to made sure that each student gets an experience customized to what they want and need. The instruction is top notch - I've learned SO much in just a short few months and my dancing has improved significantly! I also really appreciate the fun events that they put on - there are plenty of opportunities ranging from laid back dance socials with other students, to opportunities to compete, and everything in between! There is truly an atmosphere of "community" and in a short few months I've met some great people and made new friendships. I've also found the pricing to be more affordable than other dance studios, and there is alot of flexibility in choosing what you want (group classes, individual lessons, some combo, etc.). Overall Slow Fox Dance Hall is an awesome place - being there you don't just feel like a client, it truly feels like being a part of a positive and fun community where everyone is welcome. Oh - and as someone who works in healthcare - I'm happy to say that the studio has been consistently responsible during the pandemic with Covid-19 safe practices (compliance with local mandates, ensuring mask wearing, regular hand sanitizing during classes, etc.). Not only does she make everyone feel welcome as they walk through the door, she is also beyond excellent at teaching dance and has an exuberant personality which makes dance class super fun. Secondly, dance has been a wonderful opportunity to bring my husband and I together. With all the craziness between work and raising kids, it’s been great for us to come together and connect through dance on a regular basis.
