"Rented from them for almost 3 years. 2019-2021. Never missed a payment, never had any issues, never caused any issues. I've been applying for rentals in La Crosse now and I've had property managers tell me that Primetime is telling them I've never rented from them before and that they have no record of me ever renting. They are making me look like a liar by lying themselves."
"I don’t get all these nasty reviews. My family and I rented from John for about 3/4 years and he’s was ALWAYS helpful with the needs we needed, Renee at the office was amazing and loving to my family and I. Everything that needed to be fixed got fixed fast. Both places we rented from him were amazing. Communication with John was a tiny bit of lacking but he’s a busy man with all he does for his business so it’s totally understandable. Mark the maintenance man was absolutely wonderful and kind. I REALLY REALLY hope to rent from them again soon because with the place I got now I am not happy with the owner. I miss renting from John"
"Moved into the house on west 4th and it had black mold a mouse infestation rotting floors holes in the walls no fire extinguisher two working fire detectors in the whole house. Didn't inspect it so when we moved in it was completely trashed from the previous tenants. He promised he'd take care of it but never did. The ceiling leaked in my daughters room and he knew about it but never fixed it. And when the new tenants moved in they knew nothing about any of the problems until we told them. He his everything from them. Now he is ignoring me and my fiance. He kept our deposit without giving us a detailed list of why. And he has now blocked our numbers and won't respond to us. So if anyone wants to back us we are taking him to court."
"John is absolutely the WORST landlord i have EVER had. Didn’t plow or shovel, was extremely rude to my roommate and I. He knew about a random person living in the closet of the shared basement. The ceiling of our apartment fell in and had mold thru out the apartment. Stay away from this landlord and property agency, they will only cause you stress and problems. He took 300$ Out of my deposit when the apartment was CLEANER than it was when I moved in. Horrible people & place."
"If you can avoid renting from Prime Time, please do. John, who looks over the houses, was not professional in any sense. For example, he would only communicate via text message. He let us move into the house early without inspecting any damage that was done by the previous tenants. He also promised us that he would come back to pick up anything that was left in the house from the previous tenants. However, those plans never went through. The previous tenants had left a lot of items and damaged the house. All of us in the house had messaged him multiple times to fix the things that were broken. He ignored them and only came when there was problems with the washer and dryer. He did not communicate with the house or any of the tenants 24 hours in advance when there was a showing. It was usually 12 hours or even less. He would then blame us for the showings not going well because he did not give us enough time to clean. There was graffiti left on the walls in the basement from the previous tenants. He didn't even bother to cover that up, as he had promised he would when the house was shown to us. There was also an incident with the carbon monoxide alarms. They were outdated. Us tenants ended up calling xcel to come to the house to figure out what was going on as it took John and his staff 40 minutes to show up to the house. The house itself needs to be fixed for all the damage that has happened through the years. He is the definition of a slumlord. If you would like to rent from someone who claims to be the "Best landlord out there" while also contradicting themselves by not putting time into their properties, by all means."
