"We hiked here to take some maternity pics and it was perfect. I'm a waterfall lover so I knew I had to check it out when I decided to go to the Herbster/Bayfield areas on my birthday weekend. Absolutely gorgeous. It started to rain so I didn't get to take as many pics as I wanted to!"
"Easy hike with a child along. Kept up a good pace and we made it in and out in around one hour. The hike to the falls is a tad boring (relatively flat, not much variety in foliage or other landscape to observe). However, falls themselves were pretty cool and easy to navigate around. Trail was very well maintained. Managed to get out without getting eaten by mosquitos but we did apply insect repellent before heading down the trail."
"Once again, our favorite place to cool off on a hot (for Lake Superior’s South Shore) July day. The Bayfield County Parks Department must be commended on the upgrades of the new bathroom facilities, and for the extensive boardwalks added to the short 1 1/2 mile hike in or out. Keep up the great work of keeping this rare, mature, “climax forest” intact."
"Well worth the hike!!! We are not experienced hikers and had no trouble. Mosquitoes are horrible everywhere, so remember to bring the bug spray."
"It says 1 1/2 mile hike but every time it feels like longer, very hilly... 1st waterfall has a very steep hill to climb down... my daughter won't do it, too steep for her but it's worth the climb! And a big thank you to North Country Trail in Wisconsin for taking such good care of our trails! They added a bunch of stairs that made it so much easier to get to the picnic area and it looked great!"
