"Tenants don't like to pick up their dog poop, so you REALLY need to watch where you step or where kids play in the grass area around buildings. Also a Cadillac parks in a small lot and takes up 3 spots so Noone else can park in the small off street parking lot in front of building. People parking in handicap parking spots, yet they don't have the handicap tag hanging in their cars or on their license plates."

"I have lived here since May 2019 and so far have been pretty pleased with our experience here. The neighborhood is quiet and our neighbors keep to themselves but are polite when you bump into them in the halls. Not much more you can ask for in regards to your neighbors/neighborhood. The parking lot was recently re-paved and looks nice. Our apartment in particular has been slightly refreshed within the past few years (new carpet, new laminate flooring in the kitchen/dining area, new light fixtures and ceiling fans). The kitchen and bathroom in our apartment are dated with cabinets that are very clearly from when the building was originally built. Our sink does not have a sprayer for cleaning dishes which stinks when doing dishes. We’ve had a handful of experiences with the maintenance, mostly very positive. The heat is electric, and the heater in our bedroom wasn’t working. Submitted a request on the app they have for maintenance requests and within a day or two the heater was replaced with a brand new unit and it works extremely well. The faucet in the bathroom busted, submitted a request and when I came home later that day it was replaced with a pretty nice stainless steel faucet. The only negative experience we had was with requesting a washer/dryer for our unit. After weeks of searching for units they had no luck getting us a set. This ended up being a good thing for us as we financed a washer/dryer set from an appliance store in Rochester and our monthly payments are actually less than what the apartment building was going to charge us to rent their units. Overall - we enjoy living here! I work in Rochester and my girlfriend works in Winona so St. Charles was the perfect middle point for us and at the end of the day we are glad we chose Brittany apartments. Are they the nicest apartments in the world? Of course not. But for the price, we are happy."

"This is the single worst place you could live. Management is awful, neighbors are awfully loud and the interior is falling apart. Terrible cigarette smell and is obviously not well maintained. 1.75 for one load of very small laundry and electric heating that is extremely expensive. For one room to be heated at 60 degrees in cost 150.00 a months. We have froze all winter because of the price of electricity. Do not live here, would not recommend to anyone."
