Not only did Shane understand the complexity of a 5 year, long, high-conflict case, he was able to listen with care while keeping things "practical" (things in court aren't practical at times). He obviously understood every aspect of family law, he knew of the judges, and of the petitioners lawyers as well (he had multiple). I believe Shane kept it classy while on and off the field, which I found it interesting when petitioners lawyer talked about his client before a hearing (although interesting, it was unprofessional). I applaud Shane for handling that as he did. Shane's knowledge of how to navigate the court system with admissible documentation and the unwavering intolerance for hearsay kept me on the right track. He told it to me straight when he needed to, pulled the trigger when the time was right (figuratively), and never let me get too far ahead of myself (which is easy to do). His advice was always priceless. On point. And in my opinion, worth the very expensive bills. My kids safety was everything to me, so thank you for that, Shane. The impact you made was all together priceless, and you made a pretty good counselor at times too (even though it was clear that I needed a therapist and not a lawyer at times, but for 5 years, you were it)!!
